My Missouri vs. Notre Dame prediction questions how the Tigers will perform in their first test of the season after opening the year with one of the nation's softest schedules.
Notre Dame has fallen short against stronger opponents, but an undermanned Missouri team could be susceptible on the road.
The action for Missouri vs. Notre Dame tips off from Purcell Pavilion in Notre Dame, Ind., Tuesday at 9 p.m. ET (ESPNU). Notre Dame is a 1.5-point betting favorite.

Notre Dame -1.5 (+100) ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Missouri comes in with the edge according to the metrics (KenPom: 29). But Notre Dame (KenPom: 72) has been challenged by two KenPom top-20 opponents in its past three games. The Fighting Irish lost by 10 to both Kansas and Houston, but they were competitive in those games.
Missouri ain’t played nobody
The reality for Missouri is that we simply don’t know how it will hold up against a capable opponent. The current NET strength of schedule has Missouri outside the top 350 of 365 Division I teams.
The Tigers have faced one opponent ranked higher than 232nd in KenPom. Minnesota is 115th in the metric, and Missouri led the Golden Gophers by only two at halftime before pulling away in the second half.
The Tigers beat that 232nd-ranked SEMO team by five points at home. Missouri has played once on the road, but it was at Howard, which ranks outside the KemPom top 300. Again, that's not much of a test for a Dennis Gates’ team wanting to reflect its ability to compete in this type of environment.
We’re leaning into the unknown being problematic for Missouri as it adjusts to the recent loss of impactful sixth-man Jayden Stone to a wrist injury. Notre Dame’s recent experience against top foes plus its ability to slow the pace against the athletic Tigers should give the Irish an edge in their home gym.
With +100 odds on Notre Dame -1.5 from DraftKings, the implied probability of this wager is 50.00%. A winning $10 bet would profit $10.

Anthony Robinson vs. Notre Dame’s tempo
Missouri goes as its point guard Anthony Robinson goes. He's the heartbeat of a Tigers offense that wants to get into transition and use its speed and athleticism to overwhelm opponents.
Robinson occasionally forces the issue too much against teams that are adept at slowing him down. Turnovers and personal fouls become an issue against those types of schools.
Notre Dame’s adjusted tempo ranks 319th in the nation, which could force Missouri into the type of half-court offense in which it struggles to maintain rhythm. Notre Dame's opponents have scored beyond 71 points just once on the season.
Best prop bet: Missouri total points Under 73.5 (-114 via FanDuel)
