This might seem like a huge point spread, but these two teams are on entirely different levels right now. UConn has won by at least 18 points in three straight games, including a 23-point victory over Xavier last time out.
Marquette, meanwhile, has lost by 20 or more in three of the previous five matchups. The Golden Eagles haven’t covered a closing spread since Nov. 12. They haven’t covered as an underdog all year.
KenPom projects the Huskies to win by 21 and hold the Golden Eagles to 62 points. This has blowout written all over it.

Chase Ross is averaging 16.6 points per game for Marquette, but all signs point to him struggling on Sunday.
For one, UConn ranks third in the country in adjusted defensive efficiency. The Huskies are two games removed from not allowing any player to score more than 11 points against DePaul.
The second part is that Ross has struggled on the road. He hasn’t scored more than 12 points in any of his three road contests, averaging 10.3 points. This line is as low as 12.5, so I’ll grab BetMGM’s offering.
