Duke vs. Texas Tech Predictions Tonight: College Basketball Odds & Expert Picks for Dec. 20

I’m expecting a high-scoring affair in New York as my best Duke vs. Texas Tech prediction.
Duke Blue Devils forward Cameron Boozer (12), seen here looking to pass the ball, plays a key role in our Duke vs. Texas Tech predictions.

My Duke vs. Texas Tech predictions anticipate a high-scoring affair between the No. 3 Blue Devils and No. 19 Red Raiders.

Duke is an 8.5-point betting favorite in this neutral-site SentinelOne Classic matchup, with tipoff from Madison Square Garden in New York slated for 8 p.m. ET (ESPN). In support of the Over, I’m expecting a big game from Wooden Award favorite Cameron Boozer in his head-to-head matchup with fellow contender JT Toppin.

Duke vs. Texas Tech predictions Odds Confidence
Over 153.5 -110 (Caesars) ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Cameron Boozer Over 34.5 points + rebounds -104 (FanDuel) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Over 153.5 (-110) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Duke’s offense looked disengaged at times in Tuesday’s win against Lipscomb, ending the first half with 16 turnovers. But the Blue Devils still scored 97 points and averaged 1.18 points per possession, speaking to how elite their offense is when everything is clicking.

A shootout should be in store against Texas Tech, who has allowed 90-plus points in consecutive games, and an average of 86.7 points while going 0-3 against top 25 KenPom competition.

The Over is juiced as high as -112, so I am backing the best price (-110) at Caesars.

Score prediction: Duke 82, Texas Tech 75

Cameron Boozer, PF, Duke: Over 34.5 points + rebounds (-104) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Cameron Boozer was held to 18 points in two of his four games against top 25 KenPom teams, but averaged 32 points per game in the others against Florida and Arkansas.

I am opting for the Over on his combined points and rebounds today in case Red Raiders head coach Grant McCasland has something up his sleeve to keep Boozer under his projected points total of 23.5. After all, Boozer has grabbed 28 rebounds over the last two games and Texas Tech allows an offensive rebounding percentage higher than 30%.

FanDuel’s -104 odds are the best across our best sports betting sites.
