Coming off an upset loss to North Carolina, my Duke vs. Pittsburgh prediction projects the Blue Devils to get back on track behind the play of freshman star Cameron Boozer.

No. 4 Duke is a 17.5-point betting favorite for tonight's 9 p.m. ET (ESPN) tip from Petersen Events Center in Pittsburgh, in what might be the most lopsided game of our college basketball predictions.

And don't miss our North Carolina vs. Miami prediction for the other major matchup on ESPN tonight.

Don't expect Duke to be licking its wounds from Saturday's loss when it hits the hardwood tonight. Jon Scheyer's team is a March Madness odds favorite for a reason, ranking top eight in both adjusted offensive and defensive efficiency.

Pitt is the worst team in the ACC, holding a 2-9 conference record and having lost five of those games by double digits. The Panthers are putting up the fewest PPG in conference play (67.0).

Duke's 6-3 ATS over its last nine games, including covering in five of the last six games it's been favored by more than eight points.

Score prediction: Duke 82, Pittsburgh 60

🔥 Best Duke vs. Pittsburgh player prop: Cameron Boozer Over 32.5 points + rebounds (-111)

He may not be as flashy as some of the other freshmen in this historically dominant class, but Boozer is as consistent as it gets. He's the runaway favorite by the Wooden Award odds and the only player leading his conference in PPG (23.3) and RPG (10.0).

Pitt's defense is ranked No. 123 in adjusted efficiency and doesn't have a player capable of handling Boozer's strength down low, as a scorer or rebounder.

The freshman has gone for 33-plus points and rebounds in 13 of 23 games this season, including six times against ACC opponents.
