Georgia vs. Florida prediction: Florida -8.5 (-120 via FanDuel) ⭐⭐⭐

Florida is 0-3 against top 30 KenPom teams this season. This could be viewed as another scary game for the Gators, as Georgia handed Florida one of its four losses in its national championship season last year.

But I am selling Georgia’s chances for a second straight upset in this rivalry, especially since its 56% shooting from 3-point range and 82% from the free-throw line from last year’s upset were both way higher than its season averages. 

Florida has won every other game against Mike White-coached teams, scoring at least 82 points in six of the seven.

Iowa vs. Minnesota prediction: Minnesota +6.5 (-120 via FanDuel) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Don’t look now, but Minnesota is amid a season-high four-game winning streak and owns impressive league wins against Indiana and Northwestern in a recent 5-1 stretch.

The Golden Gophers’ turnaround in that stretch can be pinned mostly on a defense that ranks 22nd in 3-point percentage allowed (27.1%) and an overall adjusted defensive efficiency that ranks 17th. They have also been excellent at sharing the basketball all season, with D-I’s best assist rate on made field goals (75.9%).

Minnesota is 9-4 ATS as a home underdog since 2023 and should again cover in that role.

Bill Self’s Kansas squads are 15-1 since 2020 at home in Big 12 play immediately following a loss, and most of those bounce-back wins are the result of a lockdown defensive effort.

With star Darryn Peterson’s hamstring issues seemingly resurfacing, that should pave the way for more minutes for Flory Bidunga. 

Bidunga had a 19.8% offensive rebounding rate in the team’s conference loss to UCF while tying a season-high with five offensive boards. I expect him to go Over this projected total for the fifth time in the last seven games.
