College Basketball Predictions & Best Bets Today: ATS Picks and Prop Bets (Tuesday, Feb. 10)

After a crazy slate of games to start the week, which included Kansas ending Arizona's undefeated season, Tuesday looks even better with 11 games involving top-25 programs, and my college basketball predictions and best bets today are backing two of the most surprising ranked teams in the country.

Meanwhile, my favorite college player props are focused on two freshmen projected to be top-five picks in the NBA draft, AJ Dybantsa and Kingston Flemings, against lackluster defenses.

Purdue vs. Nebraska prediction: Nebraska -1.5 (-114 via FanDuel)

Coming into the season, nobody would have believed me if I said a month out from the NCAA Tournament Nerbaska is favored against Purdue. But here we are with the Cornhuskers 21-2, thanks to a defense ranked top 15 in adjusted efficiency.

Nebraskaball is for real, and with an elite defense and the Big Ten's best shooter (Pryce Sandfort), Fred Hoiberg's team is 8-4 ATS in conference play.

Purdue, on the other hand, has been tumbling down the March Madness odds. The Boilermakers are just 1-8 ATS in their last nine and have lost three of their last five. 

Vanderbilt vs. Auburn prediction: Vanderbilt +4.5 (-112 via DraftKings)

Like Nebraska, Vanderbilt has been one of the most pleasant surprises of the college basketball season. The Commodores are one of only seven teams in the country ranked top 20 in both adjusted offensive and defensive efficiency.

With Tyler Tanner (18.6 PPG, 5.3 APG) leading the offense, Mark Byington's team can push an Auburn defense allowing 80.6 PPG in SEC matchups.

The Tigers have been inconsistent in Steven Pearl's first season at the helm, going 4-6 ATS in conference games. Vandy has lost just two games this season by more than four points.

⛹️ College basketball player props today

BYU vs. Baylor prediction: AJ Dybantsa 3+ made 3-pointers (+290 via bet365) 

Although he's slipped in the Wooden Award odds race, that has far more to do with BYU's losing streak than Dybantsa's play. The freshman leads the country in PPG (24.0) and is averaging 29.6 over his last five outings.

Dybantsa is impossible to defend for 40 minutes, and he's been a complete mismatch in Big 12 play. The 6-foot-9 future NBA All-Star is shooting 40.8% in conference play and has hit at least three 3-pointers in three of his last five.

Baylor's defense is No. 88 in adjusted efficiency and allowing the fifth-highest 3-point percentage in Big 12 games (36.2%).

Houston vs. Utah prediction: Kingston Flemings Over 18.5 points (+100 via BetMGM) 

This freshman class is an all-timer, and just like Dybantsa, Flemings already has a 40-plus-point game on his resume. Arguably the best scoring guard in the country, Flemings has been on fire against Big 12 opponents, averaging 19.5 PPG in 10 outings.

Coming off a 19-point showing against Dybantsa and BYU, Flemings has now gone for at least 19 in six of 10 conference games, including four of his last six. And Utah has proven it has no answers for future NBA stars.

The Utes gave up 43 to Dybantsa and are ranked No. 209 in adjusted defensive efficiency.
