🏀 College Basketball Predictions Today: Can Dybantsa Keep Playing Like the No. 1 Pick?
Last Updated: March 3, 2026 10:58 AM EST • 4 minute read X Social Google News Link
As high-major schools play their final regular-season games over the next week, Tuesday's slate is full of programs cruising toward NCAA Tournament berths, with a dozen ranked teams hitting the hardwood.
My college basketball predictions today are focused on a high-flying SEC showdown, a North Carolina team holding it together without its star, projected No. 1 pick AJ Dybantsa, and one of the most lethal shooters in the country.

Alabama vs. Georgia prediction: Over 179.5 (-105)
This is going to be the opposite of an Alabama-Georgia football game during the Nick Saban era. It will not be a defensive slugfest; instead, I'm expecting fireworks, with both teams ranked in the top 20 in adjusted offensive efficiency.
Even better for the Over, both programs play at warp speed. Nate Oats has Alabama sitting No. 4 in adjusted tempo and leading the country in PPG (92.1), while Mike White has Georgia No. 22 in tempo and No. 6 in PPG (89.7).
Get your popcorn ready for the battle between Jeremiah Wilkinson (17.7 PPG) and Labaron Philon (21.4 PPG).

Clemson vs. North Carolina prediction: North Carolina -3.5 (-112) vs. Clemson
The loss of Caleb Wilson to a fractured hand seemed like it might doom North Carolina, but the Tar Heels have rallied down the stretch. Hubert Davis' team has won three straight games and has now covered in seven of its last 11.
UNC is undefeated at home (17-0), and a decisive win over Clemson should secure the Tar Heels a top-five seed in the NCAA Tournament.
Clemson is 6-4 on the road this season, and 3-4 ATS since February. The Tigers' offense (No. 76) will struggle to keep up with Henri Veesaar and Seth Trimble's scoring.
BYU vs. Cincinnati prediction: AJ Dybantsa Over 25.5 points (+100) vs. Cincinnati
BYU was ranked as high as No. 7 this season, and while Kevin Young's team has fallen apart since the loss of Richie Saunders, Dybantsa has only bolstered his draft stock. The Cougars' freshman phenom leads the country in PPG (24.9) and is scoring 26.4 PPG in Big 12 play.
The loss of Saunders has forced Dybantsa's usage up, with him averaging 28.2 PPG on 20.5 shots in the four games since Saunders' season-ending injury.
For as good as Cincinnati's defense is, it hasn't seen a player like Dybantsa. He's averaging 26.3 PPG in six matchups against top 15 defenses.
Nebraska vs. UCLA prediction: Pryce Sandfort Over 3.5 made 3-pointers (-112) at UCLA
Nebraskaball is real, and it is beautiful because of Pryce Sandfort. He's the type of shooter no team wants to see in the NCAA Tournament, with the Iowa transfer sitting No. 3 in the country in made 3-pointers per game (3.7) on 40.8% shooting.
Sandfort has been even better in Big Ten play, averaging 4.2 made threes on 9.7 attempts per game (42.9%). Since mid-January, he's hit at least four triples in nine of 13 games, including in three of his last four against non-ranked teams.
UCLA's defense has allowed 87.3 PPG to its last three top 25 opponents.
💡 How I'm betting college basketball today
Follow all of our college basketball analysis and expert predictions this season.
There are so many worthwhile games to watch tonight, but I'm going to be tuned into four of the biggest matchups that will have an impact on the NCAA Tournament.
Alabama vs. Georgia is an injection of fun straight into the veins, with both teams' styles of play. It's the best game on the slate, and I'd put a full unit on the Over up to 181.5. Clemson vs. North Carolina is a test of teams trying to overcome clear flaws, but I'd take the Tar Heels up to -4.5.
As for my favorite player props, they're on two of the most exciting players in the country. Dybantsa is making a push to solidify himself as the No. 1 pick, and he's been cooking Big 12 defenses along the way - I'd take his over with odds as short as -115.
Sandfort has been doing the same to Big Ten defenses with his shooting. His Over is worth betting at any price shorter than -125.
🚀 Best college basketball parlay picks today
Tonight I'm on the best game on the slate between two explosive offenses, a North Carolina team that plays its best at home, a scorer who cannot be slowed by even the best defenses in the country (Dybantsa), and a hot shooter who hasn't cooled down all season (Sandfort).
