Tylor Perry Under 16.5 points vs. Providence (+120 via DraftKings) ⭐⭐⭐

Tylor Perry has scored 22, 18, and 22 points in his three games in a Kansas State uniform and has picked up right where he left off from his North Texas days when he averaged 17.3 points per game and shot better from 41% from 3-point range last year. The unsustainable thing about Perry’s 20.7 points per game average is that he has accumulated those statistics despite making just two shots from inside the arc this year, as all his other points have come from beyond the arc or at the foul line. We expect Providence head coach Kim English to force Perry to put the ball on the floor more, move him off the 3-point line, and make tough twos.

This is a three-star play, as English’s teams are defensive-minded. At George Mason, his teams cashed the under in nine of its final 11 games, and Providence is already 3-0 to the Under this year, allowing just 62.3 points per game. bet365 also offers plus-money odds for this wager (+100), but we are getting much better value making this wager at DraftKings.

Noah Thomasson (Georgia) Over 1.5 3-pointers made vs. Miami (-115 via DraftKings, bet365) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Niagara transfer Noah Thomasson is still getting settled in a Georgia uniform, as he has had one outstanding game (21 points on 50% shooting against Wake Forest) and two terrible games (eight combined points against Oregon and North Carolina Central). While Miami is Georgia's most formidable opponent, the Hurricanes can be a forgiving defensive team, ranking outside the top 100 in adjusted defensive efficiency and effective field goal percentage.

Miami’s opponents attempt 3-pointers on 39.2% of their field goal attempts, and Georgia’s percentage should be even higher. The Bulldogs have no notable post presence, and Hurricanes center Norchad Omier is patrolling the paint. Thomasson has attempted four-plus 3-point shots in all three games this season, and we expect positive regression from his 25% shooting percentage. To end last season at Niagara, Thomasson made multiple 3-pointers in four consecutive games, and with how packed Miami’s defense can be (it spends an average of 18.4 seconds on defense per possession), we expect the Bulldogs to be hoisting from deep often.

DraftKings and bet365 are the only two of our best sports betting apps offering this prop as of this writing, and each has the same -115 odds to back the Over.

Friday’s college basketball game picks

Saint Louis +2 vs. Vermont (-110 via Caesars, bet365) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Vermont has made the NCAA Tournament three of the last four seasons and won seven consecutive America East regular-season titles. However, while the Catamounts have dominated conference opponents, covering 69.2% of conference games (27-12-1 ATS) since 2021, Vermont is just 14-15 ATS out of the conference in that span.

Saint Louis head coach Travis Ford has been excellent on the second games of back-to-backs for the last two years, winning both of his early November games on the second of two days, including last year’s 76-73 upset of Providence in the Basketball Hall of Fame Tip-Off. Vermont found itself down nine points at the half and five points with 10 minutes to go yesterday against a Charleston team that made just 3-of-25 3-point attempts. The Billikens rank outside the top 210 in 3-point attempts per field goal attempt and will challenge Vermont’s transition defense more than any opponent has, as they rank 37th in adjusted tempo.

Our best sports betting sites are widely split on this game, with DraftKings making this game a pick’em and FanDuel having a line of Saint Louis +0.5. Thus, we are headed to either Caesars or bet365, grabbing as many points with the underdogs as possible.

Radford +9 vs. James Madison (-110 via DraftKings) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

James Madison is playing its first game as an AP-ranked team (No. 24) in school history, and ESPN’s College Gameday is in town for the school’s undefeated football team’s game against Appalachian State. While there will undoubtedly be an unprecedented buzz around campus, those distractions can derail a team playing solid basketball.

JMU has had a lot of mileage on its legs so far, playing three overtime periods through its first three games. Radford was picked to finish second in the Big South and is battle-tested, having already played North Carolina and VCU on the road this season. The Highlanders do everything needed to stay competitive in road games against superior opponents, like slow the tempo (they rank 317th in adjusted tempo) and defend the 3-point line (they rank inside the top 100 in 3-point percentage allowed). Despite a distinct size disadvantage, Radford was out-rebounded by just three against North Carolina. The Highlanders are 9-4-1 ATS as underdogs since the start of last season, and we are backing them as a contrarian play against a Dukes squad that should feel the pressure of being a top-25 team.

Most of our best sportsbooks are at Radford +8.5, so make sure to use our DraftKings promo code to get the best value on this pick at +9.
