ACC Tournament Odds 2024: Long Shot NC State Wins 1st Title Since 1987

NC State made history with its first ACC Tournament odds win since 1987, winning as a long shot by the college basketball odds.

When NC State (22-14) entered this week's ACC Tournament, it looked like a long shot that Kevin Keatts and Co. would make the NCAA Tournament. Five days later, the Wolfpack punched their ticket to the Big Dance and made history along the way.

With Saturday's win over rival North Carolina - which was favored to win the tournament by our best March Madness betting sites - NC State became just the second team to ever win five games in five days to claim its conference tournament. The last team to pull that off? 2011 UConn, which went on to win the whole thing.

The closing odds for the 2024 ACC Tournament saw NC State dealing as a 100/1 long shot before winning five games in five days to win its first conference tournament since 1987.

Expect the odds for the 2025 ACC Tournament to be released sometime in early March in the days ahead of next season's conference tournament. We can expect regular-season ACC odds at some point this summer.
