BYU vs. UConn Prediction & Odds: College Basketball Betting Preview for Nov. 15
Last Updated: November 15, 2025 12:38 PM EST • 2 minute read X Social Google News Link
My BYU vs. UConn prediction today backs the No. 3 Huskies, who have won two of the past three national championships.
UConn is a 7-point betting favorite over No. 7 BYU, with tipoff from TD Garden in Boston set for 7 p.m. ET (FOX). Despite being the underdog, BYU features the best player in this game: freshman AJ Dybantsa, a potential top pick in next year’s NBA Draft, making a homecoming of sorts as a Massachusetts native.

🏀 BYU vs. UConn preview & score prediction
The full-game line has already climbed to -7 at some of the best sports betting sites, so there is no longer any value in laying the points with the Huskies. I do believe in their ability to get off to a strong start, which is why I’m backing them in the first half.
All signs point to a strong start for UConn
This might be Dybantsa’s homecoming, but UConn will have more of a home-court advantage. There’s a reason the Connecticut Sun like to play at least one game at TD Garden every WNBA season: there is a strong fan base in the Northeast.
TD Garden is just a 97-minute drive from the Huskies’ campus, giving them a huge travel advantage over the Cougars, who flew from Provo, Utah. I’m not sure how much to weigh the travel edge, but it’s clearly an advantage for UConn.
Most of all, BYU will be without starter Kennard Davis Jr., who was arrested on suspicion of DUI after a crash on Thursday, according to local police. That could have a significant impact on the Cougars, especially early in today’s game.
UConn, which ranks 21st in the nation in minutes continuity, has led by double digits at the break in all three of its games thus far. The Huskies have hit the ground running this season, which is why I expect them to do the same in their first big non-conference test.
Score prediction: UConn 81, BYU 74

🆚 BYU vs. UConn matchup to watch
AJ Dybantsa vs. UConn's depth
UConn can throw a combination of players at Dybantsa, but will it be enough to slow down the potential No. 1 pick in next year’s NBA Draft?
Dybantsa has delivered in his debut season, scoring 17 or more points in all three games. He’s averaging 18.7 points per contest, going 21-for-33 on 2-pointers, but he’s just 2-of-7 from distance thus far.
Given his shooting form, I’ll take the Under on his scoring prop in his toughest matchup yet. He’s only cleared this mark once in three outings.
Best prop bet: AJ Dybantsa Under 20.5 points (-125 via BetMGM)
