The Denver Nuggets come into this contest as winners of three straight games and now tied for first place in the Western Conference with a 20-11 record. A lot of it is thanks to reigning back-to-back MVP Nikola Jokic, who has been on fire in December, averaging 28.9 points, 12.9 rebounds, and 9.8 assists through 10 games this month. 

The Phoenix Suns have struggled of late, going 3-7 in their last 10 games, but still sit fourth in the Western Conference with a 19-14 record. They may be without guard Devin Booker on Sunday, who has missed the last three games due to a groin injury.
