My Spurs vs. Celtics player props today set the stage for a showdown between two of the league's top storylines this season.

Both teams are the No. 2 seed in their respective conference. The Spurs (26-11) are 1-point favorites over the Celtics (24-13) ahead of tipoff at 8 p.m. ET on Saturday in the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts, on NBA League Pass.

Player Prop bet Best odds Confidence
Victor Wembanyama, C, Spurs Under 2.5 assists -102 via FanDuel ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Keldon Johnson, F, Spurs Over 11.5 points -125 via FanDuel ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Anfernee Simons, G, Celtics Over 12.5 points -112 via bet365 ⭐⭐⭐

💰 Best Spurs vs. Celtics prop bet: Victor Wembanyama Under 2.5 assists (-102) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Check out all of our NBA analysis and expert predictions this season.

Since returning from injury in mid-December, Victor Wembanyama has come off the bench in nine of his past 12 games. He’s finished with two or fewer assists in four of those nine contests, averaging 2.6 dimes.

Wembanyama’s usage has been difficult to bank on in this role, which is why he’s only averaging 5.2 potential assists and 26 passes per game since Dec. 13. The Celtics, meanwhile, are 10th in assists allowed this year.

This is the one way I’m comfortable fading Wembanyama, earning $9.80 on a $10 bet.

🔥 More Spurs vs. Celtics prop picks

Keldon Johnson Over 11.5 points (-124) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

San Antonio Spurs guard Keldon Johnson has emerged as a viable Sixth Man of the Year candidate. He’s coming off a 27-point performance against the Los Angeles Lakers, which matched his highest scoring output of the year.

While the Celtics are better defensively than the Lakers (a low bar, to be clear), they struggle at defending spot-up shooters. According to Props Madness, they rank 25th in defending spot-ups, where Johnson gets 31% of his scoring.

Anfernee Simons Over 12.5 points (-112) ⭐⭐⭐

Speaking of 6MOY candidates, Boston has one again in Anfernee Simons, who is averaging 13.4 points per game. Simons has scored at least 13 points in seven straight games, dating back to Dec. 28.

What’s interesting about Simons’ recent run is that the market hasn’t reacted at all. His scoring total closed at 12.5 in that Dec. 28 matchup, and that’s where his current line stands against the Spurs.

I think that’s a mistake, which is why I’m placing this $10 bet to win $8.93.
