⬆️  Ajay Mitchell player prop: Over 14.5 points (-107) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

My friends call me the Ajay Mitchell truther. OK, maybe that’s a lie, but regular readers of this column will notice that I took a break from recommending props on the second-year Oklahoma City Thunder guard.

That turned out to be the right call, as Mitchell has finished with 14 points or fewer in five straight contests. But I’m betting that will change against the Portland Trail Blazers on Sunday. Mitchell scored 21 points earlier this year against Portland.

So far this season, Mitchell is averaging 15.9 points per game. His scoring prop was trading as high as 16.5 in early November. Now, there is value again on Mitchell, as this DraftKings -107 price tag generates a profit of $9.35.

⬇️  Mark Williams player prop: Under 22.5 points + rebounds (-128) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Phoenix Suns center Mark Williams is coming off a 19-point, eight-rebound performance against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Friday. Between that and the San Antonio Spurs being without Victor Wembanyama, I think Williams’ props are a bit inflated on Sunday.

This same prop closed at 20.5 just two days ago. Williams has only cleared this combo line in six of his 14 games this year. He’s averaging 12.2 points and 8.2 rebounds per contest with his new team.

The Spurs signed Luke Kornet in hopes of holding their own against opposing big men without their franchise player. This is a good test to see if the deal was worth it.

⬆️  LeBron James player prop: Over 6.5 assists (-144) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

For more than two decades, LeBron James has consistently averaged around 27 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 7.5 assists. He’s been one of the safest players to project.

That’s what makes his return to the Lakers particularly interesting. James’ role in his 23rd season will clearly be different, as he defers to Luka Doncic. In his first game back, James finished with 11 points (on seven shots) to go along with 12 assists and three rebounds in 30 minutes.

I think the passing is believable, as he’s one of the best creators in the history of the sport. James had a team-best 20 potential assists and 60 passes on Tuesday. He can make the most of this role as a facilitator.

⬆️  Ace Bailey player prop: Over 10.5 points (-128) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Utah rookie Ace Bailey has found a rhythm since joining the starting lineup over the past six games. He’s averaged 14 points in 23.3 minutes per contest, shooting 54.1% from the floor and 40.6% from long range.

For comparison, Bailey averaged 5.9 points in 18.4 minutes as a reserve in his first nine contests.

Bailey has cleared this scoring prop four times since becoming a starter, including a 13-point effort against the Lakers on Tuesday. I like DraftKings’ -128 deal to win $7.81 on a $10 bet to bank on Bailey’s new role.
