NBA Player Props Today: Best Prop Bets for Sunday, Dec. 21

For Sunday’s six-game slate, I’m sharing my favorite NBA player props today.

I’m targeting some young guards as part of Sunday’s NBA best bets. I have found betting angles for Davion Mitchell, Egor Demin, Dylan Harper, and Reed Sheppard in their respective matchups.

Davion Mitchell Over 9.5 points (-112) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

With Tyler Herro out and Andrew Wiggins listed as questionable, Miami Heat guard Davion Mitchell might have a bigger offensive role on Sunday against the New York Knicks.

Mitchell averages 12 points per game without Herro, compared to 8.3 with him, according to Databallr. His scoring also increases by two points without Wiggins. Mitchell has reached double figures in four straight games and five of the past six.

This Over costs as much as -141 at Caesars, which really highlights the -112 value at FanDuel.

Egor Demin Under 3.5 assists (+105) ⭐⭐⭐

Brooklyn Nets rookie Egor Demin is averaging 8.7 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 3.4 assists per game during his rookie season. His scoring has increased in recent games, but his passing has dropped during that stretch.

Demin has failed to clear 3.5 assists in three straight outings, recording five dimes total over that span. He’s averaging 3.1 dimes in December, clearing this mark three times in seven contests.

Now he gets a matchup against the Toronto Raptors, who rank sixth in assists allowed this season.

Dylan Harper Under 3.5 assists (-105) ⭐⭐⭐

San Antonio Spurs guard Dylan Harper has been fun to watch in his rookie season. He’s averaging 13.3 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 3.6 assists per game.

However, as an initiator, he’s clearly third behind De’Aaron Fox and Stephon Castle at this point. Their assists props are set at 5.5 and 6.5, respectively.

Harper has only cleared this assist line once in his past five games, recording 10 total dimes during that stretch. He had three assists on six potential dimes against the Washington Wizards on Thursday, and I expect a similar output on Sunday.

Reed Sheppard Under 3.5 assists (-110) ⭐⭐⭐

Houston Rockets guard Reed Sheppard has had his assists total climb from 2.5 to 3.5 due to his recent form. He’s recorded 13 assists over the past two games, soaring past his closing total by a comfortable margin in both contests.

Under the surface, however, it’s not as impressive. He’s had eight potential assists in each of the past two contests. This comes after a stretch in which Sheppard cleared this prop once over the previous six games in December.

I think the market has adjusted too much, so I’ll grab the Under at bet365.
