NBA Player Props Today: Best Prop Bets for Tuesday

My NBA player props today target four Overs for a six-game slate as part of Tuesday’s NBA best bets.

Minnesota Timberwolves guard Anthony Edwards leads tonight’s card. Still, I also have two value plays on some younger guards for the showdown between the Oklahoma City Thunder and Golden State Warriors.

The Minnesota Timberwolves have made Anthony Edwards their de facto point guard this season. He’s averaging 3.9 assists per game, but has shown more playmaking promise in recent games.

Edwards has at least five assists in three straight contests. He’s recorded 19 potential assists over his past two outings.

The New Orleans Pelicans rank 25th in assists allowed per game, setting the stage for Edwards to maintain his recent form. At this -104 value, a $10 bet earns $9.62.

⬆️  Cedric Coward player prop: Over 2.5 assists (-108) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

The Memphis Grizzlies continue to nail the draft. Cedric Coward, the No. 11 pick this summer, has been impressive in his rookie campaign. He’s averaging 13.2 points, six rebounds, and 2.7 assists per contest.

Coward is a player worth betting on, and his assists prop offers the most value. Based on price shopping alone, FanDuel’s -108 price tag is a deal compared to BetMGM’s -150 price tag for the same ticket.

Speaking of which, this same Over closed at -174 in Memphis’ last game. Coward finished with two dimes, but he made 48 passes. He has three assists on 13 potential dimes over his previous two games, suggesting he’s been a bit unlucky.

⬆️  Ajay Mitchell player prop: Over 13.5 points (+100) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Jalen Williams has returned to action, which has forced Ajay Mitchell back to the bench for the Oklahoma City Thunder.

A quick look at his recent game logs shows a mixed bag for his new role. Mitchell scored 17 points in 29 minutes against the Portland Trail Blazers on Sunday, which followed a performance of zero points in five minutes against the Phoenix Suns on Friday.

Mitchell bruised his knee in Friday’s win, which is why he only played five minutes. I’m projecting closer to the high 20s, especially with Alex Caruso and Luguentz Dort out. That suggests value on Mitchell’s scoring prop, considering he’s averaging 15.2 points per contest and has cleared this mark in 14 of 21 games.

⬆️  Brandin Podziemski player prop: Over 3.5 assists (+116) ⭐⭐⭐

Stephen Curry will be out for a second straight game as the Golden State Warriors face the Thunder. His absence will be felt on the offensive end against the league's best defensive team.

However, I’m taking note of what happened in Saturday’s win over the New Orleans Pelicans. Jimmy Butler, who is a game-time decision tonight, led the team with 10 assists. Yet Golden State guard Brandin Podziemski made six more passes than Butler, recording six assists on 13 potential dimes.

Podziemski’s assists prop is still trading at 3.5 after clearing this mark by a solid margin on Saturday. I’ll grab the +118 price tag, earning $11.80 on a $10 wager.
