My NBA player props today focus on multiple reserves as part of Saturday’s NBA best bets.

There is value in focusing on the players with more variance for today’s six-game slate. That’s how I’ve found betting angles on Johnny Furphy, Jaime Jaquez Jr., Keldon Johnson, and Collin Sexton.

The Indiana Pacers have been the most injured team in the league this season, providing opportunities for guys further down the bench. Johnny Furphy has made the most of that of late, scoring 16 points in 57 minutes across his past two games.

Furphy has at last six points in eight of his previous 11 matchups, averaging 7.2 during that stretch. With Andrew Nembhard still questionable and Bennedict Mathurin out, I like Furphy to still see an increased role on Saturday against the Miami Heat, who rank 28th in 3-point attempts allowed.

This line is 6.5 at most of our best sportsbooks, so I’m heading to FanDuel to place this wager.

Jaime Jaquez Jr. (Heat) Under 19.5 points + rebounds + assists (-108) ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

This is where the NBA Sixth Man of the Year odds campaign could end for Miami Heat wing Jaime Jaquez Jr. Norman Powell and Tyler Herro are both available, marking the fourth game this season that Jaquez will play alongside both players.

In the previous three contests, Jaquez has averaged eight points, 3.7 rebounds, and 3.7 assists in 20.7 minutes per contest. His highest PRA line was 17 during that stretch. His PRA line closed at 18.5 in two of those three outings.

I expect this line to drop before tipoff, indicating DraftKings' value at -108 to win $9.26 on a $10 ticket.

Keldon Johnson (Spurs) Over 11.5 points (-124) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Keldon Johnson matched his season high with 27 points against the Los Angeles Lakers last time out. The Boston Celtics are better defensively, but they still struggle in the ways that Johnson wants to score on Saturday.

According to Props Madness, the Celtics rank 25th in the league at defending spot-ups. That’s where Johnson gets 31% of his scoring production. He’s averaging 13.9 points this season, clearing this line in 14 of 21 games.

DraftKings is the only shop at 11.5, which is why I’m scooping up this deal.

Collin Sexton (Hornets) Under 20.5 points + rebounds + assists (-121) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Now that the Charlotte Hornets are healthier, Collin Sexton’s role should decrease as a guard coming off the bench. In the three January games with Brandon Miller, Kon Knueppel, and LaMelo Ball in the lineup, Sexton’s highest PRA line has been 18.

Sexton has failed to clear this PRA line in five of his previous seven matchups while playing with the Hornets’ best three players. He’s averaging 13.2 points, 4.6 assists, and 1.6 rebounds during that stretch. The Utah Jazz, meanwhile, are sixth at defending pick-and-roll ball-handlers.

I’ll fade an inflated prop, winning $8.26 on a $10 bet.
