The Indiana Pacers seek to snatch a second game at Madison Square Garden against the New York Knicks when they clash tonight for the Eastern Conference Finals Game 2 at 8 p.m. ET (TNT). Our Pacers vs. Knicks player props and NBA picks focus on superstars Jalen Brunson and Tyrese Haliburton.

Despite his best efforts, Brunson's 43 points weren't enough to carry the Knicks to a Game 1 win, but it does look like the Pacers' inconsistent defense won't have any answers for him in the ECF. Like in New York's opening series win against the Detroit Pistons, Brunson's ability to get to the rim will be a problem for Indiana - he averaged 31.5 across six games in the first round.

It also helps that Brunson's usage rate continues to be through the roof. It's at 32.6% in the postseason with him averaging a combined 30.8 field goal and free throw attempts per game. In Game 1 against Indiana, his usage rate jumped up to 42.5% with 39 combined field goal and free throw attempts. That usage alone should get him to 30-plus points.

🔥 Tyrese Haliburton Over 9.5 assists ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Despite a premature Reggie Miller celebration from Haliburton in Game 1 after his unbelievable buzzer-beater, the Pacers' All-Star has replaced his tag as the NBA's most overrated player with being the NBA's king of aura in the playoffs. While his shooting is getting all the attention after a 31-point outing, his playmaking was just as important after he dished out 11 assists.

Haliburton is one of the league's elite passers and leads the NBA playoffs in assists per game (9.5) after finishing third in the regular season in the category (9.2). With the way Aaron Nesmith, Andrew Nembhard, and Pascal Siakam shot in Game 1, Haliburton will need to continue to feed them if Indiana hopes to steal another game at Madison Square Garden.

Overshadowed by Brunson, Haliburton, and Nesmith, KAT just had one of the best games of any big this postseason. He couldn't be stopped in the paint or outside the arc and was consistently overpowering Indiana for boards on his way to a 35-point, 12-rebound performance. It didn't help the Pacers that Myles Turner was unplayable late in the game due to his inability to switch on defense.

Towns should be able to exploit that issue again and take advantage of Indiana's small-ball lineup while still providing key spacing with his 3-point shooting. And when it comes to rebounding, he can dominate a team that allowed 15.35 rebounds per game to centers in the regular season. Towns has been on a rebounding tear lately, too, averaging 12.7 in the semifinals against the Boston Celtics.
