Friday’s NBA slate consists of 10 games, including a marquee showdown between the Phoenix Suns and Memphis Grizzlies. Our NBA betting notes look at all the key trends, injuries, and stats.

The Western Conference-leading Phoenix Suns pay a visit to the second-place Memphis Grizzlies on Friday. Both teams are fairly entrenched in their current position, but they’ll want to strike some fear in their opponent ahead of a potential playoff series. The Milwaukee Bucks can slide ahead of the idle Miami Heat in the Eastern Conference standings with a home win over the Los Angeles Clippers.

NBA betting notes: The Raptors have rung up four straight wins in which they went 3-1 ATS and 2-2 against the O/U. They’ve posted the NBA’s second-best net rating over that four-game sample. The Magic are just 26th by net rating over their last four games, and they lost all four.

NBA betting notes: The Mavericks have won five of their last six games to move into a tie for third in the Western Conference. They’re sixth by net rating and in the top eight by both offensive and defensive rating over those six games. Washington is 10th by defensive rating but just 26th by offensive rating and 23rd by true shooting percentage over its last six games.

Indiana Pacers vs. Boston Celtics, 7:30 p.m. ET

NBA betting notes: Boston is 7-3 SU and 6-4 ATS over its last 10 games. The Celtics are second by defensive rating over that time and have given up a league-low 104.0 points per game for the season. Indiana is 28th by defensive rating with 123.2 points allowed per 100 possessions over its last 10 games despite playing at just the 13th-fastest pace in the league.

Sacramento Kings vs. Houston Rockets, 8 p.m. ET

NBA betting notes: Houston and Sacramento are 20th and 24th, respectively, by net rating over their last 10 games. The Rockets are 3-7 and the Kings are 4-6 over that stretch. Both teams have played at a bottom-eright pace over that time. It’s the Rockets’ superior defense that ranks 18th in defensive efficiency that’s the biggest difference between the two of late.

NBA betting notes: Phoenix and Memphis are tied 1-1 in their head-to-head season series. After the Suns won the first meeting by 15 points, the Grizzlies won by a single point in the second meeting on Dec. 27. The Grizzlies are 9-1 outright and first by net rating and defensive rating over the past 10 games. The Suns are third by net rating and first by offensive rating over their last 10 games. Memphis has played to the second-fastest pace in that time span.

Los Angeles Clippers vs. Milwaukee Bucks, 8 p.m. ET

NBA betting notes: The Clippers snapped a five-game losing skid on Tuesday but fell back with a 135-130 overtime loss against the Chicago Bulls on Thursday. The Bucks won seven of their last 10 games and forward Giannis Antetokounmpo improved his MVP odds by scoring 44 points with 14 rebounds in a 120-119 win over the Brooklyn Nets on Thursday.

Detroit Pistons vs. Oklahoma City Thunder, 8 p.m. ET

NBA betting notes: The Pistons shocked the 76ers with a 102-94 upset as 10-point home underdogs on Thursday but that’s just their third win in their last 10 games. However, they’re 12th by net rating and have outscored the opposition by 1.6 points per 100 possessions in that time. The Thunder are 2-8 across their last 10 games and are being outscored by 5.2 points per 100 possessions with the 25th-ranked defensive rating.

NBA betting notes: Portland is last by net rating over everyone’s last 10 games. It’s giving up 124.1 points per 100 possessions with just 108.0 points for over that stretch. San Antonio was outscored by 0.6 points per 100 possessions across its last 10 games but still went 6-4 straight up. The Spurs lead the head-to-head season series 2-0 with both wins by more than 30 points.

Minnesota Timberwolves vs. Denver Nuggets, 9 p.m. ET

NBA betting notes: The Timberwolves won each of their last two games against the Nuggets by margins of 17 and 15 points. Minnesota lost four of its last five games entering Friday with three of those losses on the road. Denver has won three straight and four of its last five while playing to the league’s ninth-best net rating over those five games.

New Orleans Pelicans vs. Los Angeles Lakers, 10:30 p.m. ET

NBA betting notes: The Pelicans and Lakers last played on Sunday with New Orleans winning 116-108 to take a 2-0 lead in the season series. New Orleans followed that up with a 10-point win over the Trail Blazers, while the Lakers have now lost four straight and eight of 10. Los Angeles ranks 29th by net rating over those 10 games.
