My Arizona vs. UCLA prediction highlights major changes these rosters have undergone since last year.
Michigan Wolverines forward Morez Johnson Jr. (21) and Arizona Wildcats center Motiejus Krivas (13) battle for a rebound as we make our best Arizona vs. UCLA prediction.

My best Arizona vs. UCLA prediction focuses on key roster changes for both teams, as Motiejus Krivas and No. 5 Arizona look to build on last season's Final Four run. No. 22 UCLA lost its top two scorers from last season but returns several key players and adds Jaylen Petty.

Monday's 10 p.m. ET Hall of Fame Series game will be played at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas and will air on TNT. Arizona is favored by 4.5, but my best bet is on the total.

Arizona vs. UCLA best bet

Under 150.5 (-110 via FanDuel)

Arizona averaged the 12th-most points in the nation last season (86.2), but the Wildcats' three leading scorers are no longer with the program. While they've brought in plenty of talented players to fill the holes, especially 5-star freshman Caleb Holt, there are going to be growing pains early in the season, especially against a defense that allowed 71.1 points per game last year.

UCLA also lost key scorers from last year's team that averaged 77.1 points per game, most notably Tyler Bilodeau and Donovan Dent. While the Bruins return three of their top five scorers, I don't expect them to hit last year's average against last season's eighth-ranked team in defensive efficiency.

Play to: Under 147.5

Score prediction: Arizona 74, UCLA 70

Arizona vs. UCLA player props

Follow all of our college basketball analysis and expert predictions this season.

Jaylen Petty Over 2.5 assists (+105 via DraftKings)

Petty transfers from Texas Tech, where he averaged 2.2 assists last season. However, he finished the year with at least three assists in three consecutive games, reaching four assists twice during that span.

Last season, Dent averaged 7.6 assists per game for UCLA, the third-most in the nation. With him gone, Trent Perry will start at point guard, but he's hardly the same type of player as Dent, averaging just 2.8 assists per game last year. This means other players, like Petty, will have more chances to get teammates involved.

Arizona allowed 12.5 assists per game last season and gave up 15 in its only matchup with UCLA.

Play to: Over 2.5 assists at -120 or better. Pass on Over 3.5 unless the price is +150 or better.

Motiejus Krivas Over 10.5 rebounds (-110 via DraftKings)

Krivas had his best collegiate season last year, as he averaged 25.3 minutes and 8.2 rebounds per game. Yet, despite being the team's starting center all season, he didn't even lead the team in rebounds, as Tobe Awaka averaged 9.1 per game.

With Awaka and Koa Peat, last year's third-leading rebounder for Arizona, off to the NBA, I'm expecting even more of an emphasis on Krivas attacking the glass this year. That's great news for a player who grabbed at least 11 rebounds in 12 games last year.

UCLA ranked 95th in rebounds allowed per game last year. The Bruins didn't have a single player who averaged more than 5.8 rebounds per game.

Play to: Over 11.5 rebounds at +115 or better.
