The Grizzlies finally saw their seven-game winning streak come to an end in Oklahoma City a few nights ago, but they remain one of the hottest teams in the NBA at the given moment.

Denver has done well to win four of its last five but comes into this one with some serious injury concerns, particularly with its best players.

There has been little to no movement to speak of with this spread. Denver opened at +1.5 and remains there as of this writing. DraftKings is currently reporting 44% of the bets are on the Nuggets. There’s also a bunch of injury news yet to come to the forefront.

With that said, 73% of the tickets and 55% of the handle are on the Over here at DraftKings, which currently sits at 233.5. That is also the opening line, though some other books have pushed this to 234.

Ja Morant Over 1.5 3-pointers ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

There are a lot of unknowns with this game. Nikola Jokic is banged up. Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and Jamal Murray are questionable. This is going to significantly alter what we do with the spread or total, so it’s better to play a prop at this time.

With Caldwell-Pope and Murray potentially missing, this already-weak Denver perimeter defense will get worse. The Nuggets rank sixth-worst at defending 3-pointers this season, allowing 36.8% to fall from deep, and against point guards they are fifth-worst with 3.1 triples allowed per game.

This is where Morant comes in. He’s averaging a career-high five 3-point attempts per game this season and has been making them count as of late. He’s gone for multiple threes in five of his last seven games and for the season has accomplished this feat 13 times in 24 games, including one where he was injured after just 16 minutes.

The matchup is great and the volume has been there for Morant. I think he will go off in what’s a very important nationally-televised game and hit a few 3-pointers along the way.

If you’ve got UniBet, you can get this at the nice price of -108. For the rest of us, FanDuel is where you’ll get the best line. DraftKings and PointsBet are hanging -115 while BetMGM has pushed this to -120 and Caesars has it -121.

With the wide discrepancy, I think this is probably something like a B+ price. The 10-cent difference between this and the worst line makes it one worth shopping for, though the difference between playing this on FanDuel versus DraftKings is rather negligible. Shoutout to UniBet, though, because that is an A-grade price.
