The idea of this new Bucks team around Antetokounmpo makes sense. Shooters surround him, giving Antetokounmpo a chance to drive and kick out to the open man. That’s why his numbers to start the season are bonkers.
Still, this is a high assist total, as he hasn’t cleared this mark through two games. Antetokounmpo is averaging 11.5 potential assists per game, and this will be the toughest defensive team he’s faced all year, which is why I project closer to six dimes.
Most of the best sports betting sites are setting this prop at 6.5, but bet365 offers a bargain at -125 for Under 7.5 assists. We’d profit $8 on a $10 wager.
🔥 Donovan Mitchell Over 28.5 points (-116) ⭐⭐⭐⭐
I prefer a plus-money price on Donovan Mitchell scoring 30-plus points, as that’s what I’m projecting during Sunday’s matchup against the Bucks. The Cavs guard has scored 66 points through two games, surpassing this mark in both contests.
Mitchell’s usage is what I’m betting on now, especially while Darius Garland is sidelined. He's attempted 40 shots so far this season. No other Cleveland player is averaging more than 15 field-goal attempts per game.
At this -116 price tag, a $10 bet would earn $8.62.
⬆️ Evan Mobley Over 1.5 blocks (+140) ⭐⭐⭐
I project two blocks for the reigning Defensive Player of the Year, so a +140 price on Evan Mobley recording multiple blocks is a no-brainer. A $10 bet would net $14.
Considering how often the Bucks want to drive downhill, Mobley will get his opportunities as a weak-side help defender. He’s coming off a game with two blocks against the Brooklyn Nets.
I still like Mobley’s chances as a Defensive Player of the Year odds contender, despite it being Victor Wembanyama’s award to lose once again. Perhaps a strong defensive showing against Antetokounmpo will help get Mobley’s campaign started.
