Luka Doncic Over 9.5 first-quarter points (-115) vs. Kings

After hitting on a Luka Doncic combo prop play yesterday, I’m now pivoting to Doncic’s scoring in the opening period against the Sacramento Kings. For one, bet365’s line being 9.5 is a deal, considering Doncic averages 11.7 first-quarter points and has reached double figures in the opening period for 70.2% of his games this year.

In addition, the Kings are a horrible defensive team (28th in defensive rating), and Doncic has averaged 13.3 first-quarter points in his previous four games on the second night of a back-to-back. I love this Over as a five-star play.

Saddiq Bey Under 5.5 rebounds (-125) at Clippers

Saddiq Bey has made the most of a growing injury report for the New Orleans Pelicans. He’s stepped into a major role, scoring 66 points over his last two games, both against the Utah Jazz.

However, he’s only grabbed five rebounds in each of the past two outings. He’s now failed to clear this rebound line in 16 of his previous 25 games.

I don’t believe Bey will have much success on the glass against the Los Angeles Clippers, who rank seventh-best in rebounds allowed. He grabbed four boards in his battle with the Clippers on Oct. 31. This Under is as high as -140 in the market, so give me bet365’s bargain.

Naz Reid Under 22.5 points + rebounds + assists (-114) at Nuggets

As explained in my Timberwolves vs. Nuggets player props, I’m fading Naz Reid today and as the NBA Sixth Man of the Year favorite.

Reid has faltered of late, averaging 11.1 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 2.2 assists. He’s only cleared this PRA line twice in nine matchups. And he’s often struggled against Denver, failing to clear this line in 13 of his previous 16 head-to-head meetings.

This line is -115 at most of the best sports betting sites, with FanDuel offering the best price at -114.

The Lakers are playing the second night of a back-to-back following their 129-101 road win over the Golden State Warriors. It means their injury report won’t be clear until closer to tipoff, but I could see a star like LeBron James getting the night off.

If that’s the case, Doncic’s props are probably being a tad undervalued. I prefer his first-quarter markets, as the Lakers could always roll past the Kings in another convincing victory. That’s why Doncic’s first-quarter points prop is my favorite play of Sunday.
