We're offering our favorite NBA player props and the best bets for Thursday based on the best NBA odds.

The NBA trade deadline came and went without much fanfare, though a few teams did improve their standing by the latest NBA Finals odds. We've got nine games on the docket Thursday, including a few featuring teams that were active at the deadline.

Golden State Warriors forward Jonathan Kuminga had another solid effort in Wednesday’s win over the Philadelphia 76ers, and he’ll look to keep the momentum going against the Indiana Pacers on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Nikola Vucevic and the Chicago Bulls take on the shorthanded Memphis Grizzlies, presenting an opportunity for the big man to post big numbers.

In another notable matchup, Jerami Grant squares off against his former team as the Portland Trail Blazers host the Detroit Pistons. Meanwhile, LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers are set to take on the Denver Nuggets in a rematch of last season’s Western Conference Finals.

In conjunction with our Mavericks vs. Knicks NBA player props, here are our NBA player props and best bets for Thursday (odds via our best NBA betting sites; pick confidence based on a 1-to-5-star scale).

We went with Kuminga’s points prop last night, and though it didn’t cash, we’re going back to the well. The young forward posted 18 points in Wednesday’s win over the Sixers, but he and the rest of the Warriors didn’t need to post big numbers in the 23-point victory. Kuminga should have his number called on offense more frequently Thursday in a matchup that features a 251.5-point total.

Over his last 11 games, Kuminga has been huge, averaging 24.3 points per game and scoring at least 22 in eight of them. On the Warriors’ road trip, he’s averaging 22.8 points and hit this mark twice. He’s scored slightly more on the road this season, and he’s hit this prop in four of his last seven outside of Chase Center.

The Pacers allow the third-most points per game to opponents, and this has been a highly favorable matchup for opposing scorers. Kuminga’s points prop is set at 18.5 or 19.5 across our best sports betting sites, but we’ll take the alt total for plus-money odds.

Nikola Vucevic Over 34.5 points + rebounds + assists vs. Grizzlies (-110 via bet365) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

This is a dream matchup for Chicago’s big man as he faces a Grizzlies team sporting one of the most injury-riddled rosters in the Association. Memphis had little to no depth in the frontcourt before Wednesday, and then the team traded Xavier Tillman to the Boston Celtics for picks, removing another quality big man from the rotation.

Over his last three games, Nikola Vucevic has averaged 23.3 points, 10 rebounds, and 2.7 assists, good for 36 PRA. He’s gone for at least 35 in two of those. Vucevic averages 29.3 PRA on the road compared to 26.4 at home, and he’s hit this mark in eight of his last 13 away from United Center.

In his last matchup at Memphis a season ago, Vucevic posted 28 points, 17 rebounds, and six assists, easily cruising past the 34.5 PRA line. We’ll gladly take the Over in this one, as he should dominate the shorthanded Grizzlies.

Jerami Grant Over 22.5 points vs. Pistons (-110 via bet365) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Who doesn’t love a good revenge narrative? Grant will face his former team at home, and we love this points prop! On the season, Grant is averaging 21.3 points, which is the second-highest mark of his career. His home-road splits are significant, as he averages 24.1 points at Moda Center compared to just 19 on the road. Over his last seven home games, Grant has hit this mark six times and averaged 27.4 points.

Grant dropped 24 points at Detroit in his first matchup against his former team this season, and in three games against the Pistons since joining Portland, he’s averaged 28.7 points and hit this prop every time.

Detroit allows the fourth-most points per game (122.3) overall and the most on the road at 124.8. We’ll bank on Grant hitting this prop against his former team for the fourth straight game.

LeBron James Over 7.5 assists vs. Nuggets (-105 via DraftKings) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

We’re going to take the Over on this prop regardless of the trade deadline, but the Lakers’ potential moves make this one a bit sweeter. Los Angeles has been a buyer at the deadline in recent seasons, and unsurprisingly, it's rumored to be searching for deals again. The name mentioned most in those rumors is D’Angelo Russell.

James has averaged 7.5 assists per game this season with Russell on the court and 9.5 in four games in which Russell was unavailable, cashing this prop thrice. Russell getting traded would do wonders for our confidence in this play, but even if the point guard is on the Lakers’ roster at tip-off tonight, we’re taking the Over for James’ assists.

Over his last six overall, James has averaged nine assists and cashed this one four times. He’s handed out at least eight assists in 23 of 46 games on the season, and he hit this in all four games in last season’s Western Conference Finals. James averaged 8.3 assists per game at home compared to just seven on the road.
