🏀 NBA Player Props Today: Best Bets & Prop Picks for Wednesday, April 1

Now that the calendar has flipped to April, it's a sprint to the finish line of the NBA regular season. Tuesday's nine-game slate has a couple of games with postseason seeding implications, including an Eastern Conference battle between the Miami Heat and Boston Celtics at the Kaseya Center in Miami, airing on ESPN.

With Celtics vs. Heat serving as the headliner, I've found two tickets on Jayson Tatum in a favorable matchup as part of my NBA player props today. This could be a nice preview of what Tatum and Co. will look like in the postseason later this month.

Jayson Tatum Over 8.5 rebounds (-102) at Heat

After recording just five rebounds in a win over the Hornets, Tatum should have better results on the glass tonight.

The Heat rank 27th in rebounds allowed. They recently surrendered 18 rebounds to Houston Rockets wing Amen Thompson, who had a closing line of 7.5. Miami also leads the league in pace, creating more rebound opportunities.

That points to a favorable matchup for Tatum, who is averaging 9.1 rebounds in his return from injury. He's cleared this line in seven of his 11 contests, including five of his previous six matchups. I'd play this Over at -112 or better.

Jayson Tatum to record a double-double (+143) at Heat

If I like Tatum's rebound line so much, it's not too much of a stretch to count on him recording double-digit boards. He's grabbed 10 or more rebounds in six of the seven games in which he's cleared his current rebound line.

Tatum has notched a double-double in 54.5% of his contests since returning from injury, which is much better than the 41.15% implied probability of the +143 value at DraftKings. This ticket is listed +125 at several other shops. For comparison, the line closed at +105 against the Hornets last time out.

Given the pace Miami prefers to play at, I like Tatum's chances of producing tonight.

Victor Wembanyama Under 1.5 3-pointers made (+146) at Warriors

Fading Victor Wembanyama's 3-pointers made prop has been a good strategy this year, as he's completely changed his shot diet to focus on interior production.

The San Antonio Spurs big man is averaging 1.9 triples on 5.5 attempts per game this year. For comparison, Wembanyama averaged 3.1 3-pointers on 8.8 attempts during the 2024-25 season.

Even with this 3-point line bumped down from 2.5 to 1.5, I love the value of the plus-money price on the Under. The Warriors rank ninth in the league in 3-point attempts allowed. Per Props Madness, Wembanyama has a 45% hit rate on this line this year when facing a top 10 team in 3-point attempts allowed.

I'm not someone who risks a lot on parlays because I don't like compounding my edges at all. That's especially true with this one, as Tatum's rebound line is extremely correlated to his double-double odds, and FanDuel doesn't provide a great price to parlay them together. Anyway, this came out to just +228. Bet accordingly.

This is the section where I remind you that it's most difficult to bet on the NBA during the final weeks of the regular season. Not only are lines more efficient, but finding multiple games where both teams are trying to win isn't a given.

The matchup between the Celtics and Heat projects as one of the better ones of the night, which is why I've targeted two wagers in that matchup. More than anything, though, I'm taking shots on plus-money prices on a night where there could be more variance than expected.
