For as tough as Golden State has played everyone this year in its first season in the W, winning on the road against a Vegas team that's looked better lately won't be easy. The Aces are 5-3 since July 12, when they beat the Valkyries 104-102. Now, Golden State is down Kayla Thornton, who nearly had a double-double in that loss.
With A'ja Wilson still playing at an MVP level, and Jackie Young being one of the top second options in the WNBA, Golden State will have a difficult time scoring enough points to win - it's putting up the third-fewest per game in the league (78.1). There weren't high hopes for the Valkyries entering their first season in the WNBA, but the expansion team has been a pleasant surprise ... especially for bettors. Golden State owns the best ATS record in the league (17-10) thanks to a stellar defense that has turned the squad into the best Under bet in the W (18-9 betting the Under).
Even without Kayla Thornton, who's out for the season with a knee injury, Golden State has remained a tough out. In five games without Thornton, the Valkyries are 4-1 ATS and have won outright in both games they were the underdog in. With a defense that's No. 3 in rating (101.4) and allows the second-fewest points per game (77.6), don't expect a Las Vegas blow out win.

Wilson may not be the MVP this season, but she's still top two in both points per game (21.6) and rebounds per game (9.0). The last time she played Golden State, she dominated the glass to the tune of 16 boards and shouldn't have trouble cleaning up boards tonight with Thornton out.
