The Minnesota Lynx (30-7) are the favorite in the WNBA championship odds as they take on the Seattle Storm (20-19) tonight (8:00 p.m. ET on WNBA League Pass) from Target Center in Minneapolis, and I’m breaking it down with my Storm vs. Lynx prediction.

The Lynx are the class of the league, holding a six-game advantage for first place in the standings. The Storm, meanwhile, are in a battle to make the postseason for the ninth time in the past 10 seasons. Minnesota is an 8.5-point favorite, as they look to improve to 3-1 against Seattle in 2025.

I expect points to be hard to come by in a matchup between two of the league’s best defensive teams in my WNBA prediction.

Minnesota opened as 8.5-point favorites at the best sports betting sites, and I wouldn’t be at all surprised if that climbed even higher. The Lynx are a league-best 18-1 at home this season, and they catch a Storm team that’s lost six of its past 10 games.

Although they’ve gone over this total in two of their previous three encounters this season, the Storm are below average in points per game, three-point percentage, and free throw percentage in 2025. The Storm are finishing a grueling five-game road trip, which means fatigue could come into play. The Lynx have held teams to 42.4% shooting this season and a league-best 76.6 points per game.

I think Minnesota’s length in the frontcourt could present a lot of challenges as Seattle tries to attack the rim and get easy baskets.
