New York has won back-to-back games to build some momentum after losing four in a row. The Liberty have been more vulnerable without Stewart and lost to the Wings without her on July 28.

I like taking the points with Dallas as the home team at +9 or better ahead of Friday’s matchup, which is the third time these two teams have faced off since Stewart went down.

New York suffered a 92-82 loss in Dallas in the team’s first game without Stewart. The Liberty also won by nine at home earlier this week. They failed to cover the spread in both meetings.

New York hasn’t been the same without its full roster. The Liberty went 7-5 without Jonquel Jones and are 2-4 without Stewart, and the market hasn’t caught up. New York hasn’t covered a closing spread since July 25.

Dallas, meanwhile, is 3-1 ATS over its last four games and has been playing with more energy lately. I’ll bank on this game staying within single digits.

Emma Meesseman has joined the Liberty lineup over the last two games. She scored 11 points in 17 minutes in her season debut on Sunday before following that up with 13 points in 24 minutes against Dallas on Tuesday.

Meesseman attempted a team-high 13 shots last time out, a sign that her role will continue to increase in the coming weeks. I wouldn’t be surprised to see this line climb after another solid showing.
