Coming off a French Open that saw both Alexander Zverev and Mirra Andreeva win their first Grand Slams, it sets up an interesting narrative entering Wimbledon if the favorites can return to dominance in the Men’s and Women’s Draws, or if other surprise winners can break through.

While I'm backing the favored Jannik Sinner at -175 odds on the men’s side with the first of my Wimbledon predictions, I’m going a little further down the board with my women’s winner. I also added one longshot play, and my favorite prop bet involving Serena Williams' triumphant return for the third Major of the season.

💰 Pick ⚖️ Bet size (units) 🧠 Why I bet this
Men's: Jannik Sinner (-175 via DraftKings) 2u → 1.04u Sinner had a 30-match winning streak snapped in brutal conditions at Roland Garros
Women's: Iga Swiatek (+1000 via FanDuel) 1u → 10u Swiatek lost just two total games in the semifinal and final en route to her first Wimbledon title last year
Prop bet: Serena Williams stage of elimination- Second Round (+350 via FanDuel) 1u → 3.5u Williams gets a great draw for her first matchup, but should see her run come to an end against the No. 29 seed in the second
Long shot: Linda Noskova (+2500 via DraftKings) 0.1u → 2.5u Noskova is rated as the women's fifth-best grass player

Total wagered: 4.1 units | Max profit: 17.04 units

🏆 Wimbledon men's pick: Jannik Sinner (-175)

For the second straight Grand Slam, Sinner will not have Carlos Alcaraz standing in his way, as the Spaniard will miss the event with a wrist injury.

Sinner was an overwhelming favorite at Roland Garros, though a stunning collapse in the second round against Juan Manuel Cerundolo ended his 30-match winning streak.

The Italian was clearly affected by the heat in Paris when his body gave out over the final three sets. But Sinner should get most of his matches indoors in the climate-controlled Centre Court. And if he can match his incredible 63-3 set record he had during his 30-match streak, with 25 of those sets going eight or fewer games, Sinner can preserve his body well for later in the tournament.

🏆 Wimbledon women's pick: Iga Swiatek (+1000)

Swiatek has the third-best odds at most of our best sports betting sites, but this is much too great a value play for the defending champion. She didn’t just win Wimbledon, her best result since a quarterfinal appearance in 2023. She absolutely destroyed the competition later in the tournament, losing just two total games over four sets in a semifinal win over Belinda Bencic and bageling Amanda Anisimova in the final.

Swiatek has the capability of similarly dominating this year, as she enters having won 21 sets at 6-0 or 6-1 in 2026. She also has a favorable draw, not facing her first potential top-10 opponent until the quarterfinals in No. 8 Elina Svitolina.

🎯 Best Wimbledon prop bet: Serena Williams stage of elimination- Second Round (+350)

Serena Williams will be playing her first tour singles match since 2022, and the 44-year-old will be doing so against an opponent less than half her age in 20-year-old Aussie Maya Joint. This is as good a draw as Williams could have hoped for to kick off the rust, as Joint is 1-13 in her last 14 tour matches since January.

Joint is ranked 53rd and lost her one and only Wimbledon match, 6-3, 6-2, to Liudmila Samsonova last year. I’ll back the seven-time Wimbledon champion who has won 88% of her career matches at the Slam, only to see her lose in the second round to rising star and the No. 29 seed, Alexandra Eala.

🎯 Best Wimbledon long shot pick: Linda Noskova (+2500)

If I’m backing any longshot plays, I am doing so from the Women’s Draw, where pre-tournament favorite Aryna Sabalenka has +370 odds. Linda Noskova has not reached the quarterfinals at a Grand Slam, but she did reach the fourth round at Wimbledon last year, where she lost to eventual runner-up Anisimova in a tough three-set match.

Noskova is the fifth-best grass player on the women’s tour per Elo ratings, and cruised to a tune-up title in Berlin while dropping just one set. She has another potential fourth-round matchup against Anisimova. Still, she has a great chance to avenge last year’s loss if that matchup comes to fruition, as the American is just 14-8 since returning from a wrist injury.

💡 How I'm betting Wimbledon 2026

I'm investing two units on Sinner to win Wimbledon, as that's what it will take to earn at least one unit in profit.

Among all of the best sports betting apps, one of the most intriguing prop plays is at FanDuel, which has an enticing wager labeled “Big Guns vs. the Field.” Through that wager, one can lump Aryna Sabalenka, Elena Rybakina, and Iga Swiatek into a singular wager to win the tournament at +145 odds, while the field is -185, carrying a 64.91% implied probability.

I would not put anyone off backing this wager since I am already on-side with Swiatek's +1000 odds for one unit. But the fact that the field has -185 over the top three favorites speaks to the grand possibility of a longshot women's winner, like Noskova, whom I have a 0.1-unit play on.

📆 When does Wimbledon 2026 start?

The first round of Wimbledon starts on Monday, June 29. The women's final will take place on Saturday, June 11, and the men's on Sunday, June 12. The tournament starts with 128 players on both sides of the draw and is cut in half after every round.
