The latest Coca-Cola 600 odds still have Kyle Larson as the favorite despite the rain delay at the Indy 500 and Ty Gibbs securing pole position. We have you covered with our expert picks based on the best NASCAR odds for Charlotte Motor Speedway from our best sports betting sites

The rain delay at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway will probably scupper Kyle Larson's chances of becoming the fifth driver to compete at the Indy 500 and Coca-Cola 600 in the same day. He will compete at the Indy 500, which is set to commence at 4:44 p.m. ET on Sunday, making it almost impossible to make it in time for the Coca-Cola 600

According to the latest NASCAR Cup Series Championship odds, Larson is the favored contender and heads into this weekend's action as the frontrunner to triumph in Sunday's race at Charlotte Motor Speedway. The event kicks off at 6 p.m. ET on FOX. However, if he can't race, which is almost assured, Martin Truex Jr. will become the favorite.

Ty Gibbs claimed pole position, and you can see the full Coca-Cola 600 lineup here.

Ahead of the greatest day in motorsports, here are the latest Coca-Cola 600 odds and our expert picks for Sunday's race at Charlotte Motor Speedway (NASCAR odds via our best sports betting apps; pick confidence based on a 1-to-5-star scale).

Charlotte Motor Speedway track analysis

After racing on the newly paved surface at North Wilkesboro in the NASCAR All-Star Race, drivers return to a familiar track this Sunday at Charlotte Motor Speedway, a 1.5-mile tri-oval that has become a staple of the Cup Series since 1960.

As the only 600-mile race on the NASCAR calendar, the Coca-Cola 600 is less about the demands of the track itself, which features 24 degrees of banking on the turns and high-speed straightaways. Instead, this race is the ultimate test of endurance and adaptability - especially as it transitions from daytime to a night race.

That tends to reward veteran drivers who can manage their car and stamina while adapting to the changing nature of the track, which doesn't feature the same grooves when the green flag drops as it does a few hours later. There's a reason why Jimmie Johnson (four) and Martin Truex Jr. (two) are the only drivers with multiple wins in this race.

Coca-Cola 600 predictions, race preview

It's impossible to discuss this race without starting with Kyle Larson (+550), whose attempt at "The Double" has stolen headlines for weeks. Even with his early afternoon plans in Indianapolis, he was still the favorite at four of our five best sportsbooks to win Sunday night at Charlotte. However, the updated situation almost guarantees Larson's absence from the Coca-Cola 600.

None of the previous four drivers to attempt "The Double" won either the Indy 500 or the Coca-Cola 600.

Denny Hamlin (+600) seems to be flying under the radar even with three wins over his last nine points races.

Toyotas have run well at this track before, and Hamlin won this race two years ago before an accident ended his chances at a repeat in 2023. He had finished in the top five in six of his previous 10 tries before last year, and if Larson can't go this weekend, I could see these odds plummeting in the hours before the race.

I also have my sights on fellow Toyota driver Tyler Reddick (+900), whose odds at bet365 are boosted in one of the best sportsbook promos for the Coca-Cola 600.

While this race tends to reward the cautious and calculated, the ultra-aggressive Reddick owns the best average finish at Charlotte (8.4) and has earned the most points on this track (98) in four races in the Next Gen car. He's also scored top-five finishes this year at Las Vegas (second) and Texas (fourth) - two 1.5-mile ovals similar to this one.

Chris Buescher (+1400) has seen his odds tighten as raceday approaches, in part because of the blistering speed he's shown over the last few weeks. The RFK Racing driver was 0.001 seconds away from winning at Kansas - another track with a similar profile to this one - and he was the third car to cross the finish line in the All-Star Race.

If Buescher had edged out Larson in Kansas, Ford would be riding a two-race win streak into this one after Brad Keselowski (+1200) scored the first win of the season for the manufacturer two weeks ago at Darlington. With reigning winner Ryan Blaney (+1000) also among the favorites, I love these long odds on Ford to win (+330).

Speaking of which, keep an eye on fellow Ford driver Chase Briscoe (+8000), who finished fourth in this race in 2022.

The No. 14 finished in the top six at Texas and Darlington in recent weeks, and he nearly won this race at Charlotte two years ago before spinning out with two laps to go. He should have the speed to compete Sunday, and he's a nice value to finish in the top 10 (+400).

Kyle Larson props, cross race specials for "The Double"

(Odds via FanDuel)

Prop betOdds
Kyle Larson to win either Indy 500 or Coca-Cola 600+210
Kyle Larson to finish top 3 in Indy 500 and top 3 in Coca-Cola 600+600
Kyle Larson to finish top 3 in Indy 500 and win Coca-Cola 600+1500
Kyle Larson to win Indy 500 and finish top 3 in Coca-Cola 600+1600
Kyle Larson to win both Indy 500 and Coca-Cola 600+3500

This isn't an exhaustive list of the cross race specials at FanDuel, but these are the only ones that don't rely on another driver like Indy 500 favorites Scott McLaughlin and Josef Newgarden or fellow NASCAR favorite Denny Hamlin.

Those +210 odds on Larson to win either race represent an implied probability of 32.26% with a $21 profit on a $10 wager, per our odds converter. Meanwhile, those +3500 odds to win both races imply a 2.78% chance that he makes history with a $350 payout on a $10 bet if he does.

I don't necessarily love the odds on either proposition, but I do think there's a chance he can finish in the top three in either race or even win Sunday's Coca-Cola 600. If I were to place any bet on the board, it would likely be Larson to reach the podium in Indianapolis and take the checkered flag in Charlotte at +1500 odds.

One concern here is whether Larson will even get a chance to run both races, given that both the Indy 500 and Coca-Cola 600 could be subject to weather delays. That could prevent him from running one of them, though it could also free him up to run one race on Sunday and another on Monday, which could even help his chances to win either race.
