One of the unique quirks of the WNBA is the high volume of rematches in short order between the league's 12 teams. We're in store for another Saturday at 3 p.m. ET, when the New York Liberty (13-3) host the Los Angeles Sparks (4-12) at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y.
The Liberty are 13.5-point favorites to beat the Sparks in Saturday's game, which will be televised on ESPN, after scoring a 93-80 win in these teams' first meeting on Thursday. That marked Los Angeles' first game without rookie Cameron Brink, who tore her ACL earlier this week and is out for the season.
It also helped bolster New York's WNBA championship odds amid a 9-1 run dating back to late May for last year's title runner-up.

Sparks vs. Liberty predictions for Saturday
Liberty Over 90.5 points ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Ahead of Thursday's game, we shied away from the spread (-14.5) in fear of a backdoor cover by the pesky Sparks, who fittingly clawed back in garbage time to cash as road underdogs in a 13-point loss.
Instead, we targeted New York's sizzling offense to reach at least 90 points for the fourth straight game. Sure enough, the Liberty scored exactly 93 points for the third time in their last four tries behind star scorers Sabrina Ionescu (31 points) and Jonquel Jones (22).
That came even with Breanna Stewart (17) falling below 20 points for the fourth time in her last five starts. Still, the reigning WNBA MVP is averaging 19.1 points and dropped 28 points on the Phoenix Mercury just a few days ago.
There's just so much firepower on New York's roster, and the Sparks are ill-equipped to handle it defensively after losing Brink, who was already one of the league's premier rim-protectors as a rookie. That's an issue against the WNBA's top unit by offensive rating this season (107.5) and this month (110.8).

Dearica Hamby Under 16.5 points ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
For those who read Thursday's preview, or any of my WNBA coverage this season, this bet will look plenty familiar. And that's because our best sportsbooks appear to be asleep at the wheel.
Hamby enjoyed a tremendous start to her second season with the Sparks, scoring 20.4 points per game on 55.2% shooting through her first 11 starts. She's averaged just 11.8 points on 39.3% shooting in five starts since, falling short of this total in each of those five contests.
She's made four or fewer baskets in three straight games, scoring 10 or fewer in all of them, and she's gone three straight games without a made 3-pointer. She's also attempted five or fewer free throws in five straight after doing so just twice in her first 11 starts.
Clearly, something is hampering Hamby over the last two weeks. She'll surely break out of her scoring slump at some point, but I just don't expect that to come Saturday against one of the better defenses in the W, and I can't help but continue to fade this total until the market adjusts accordingly.
