The injury-ravaged Montreal Alouettes head to BC Place to take on the BC Lions tonight at 7 p.m. ET (TSN, CTV, CBSSN), and my Alouettes vs. Lions predictions are backing the home favorite.

Although Montreal is still considered a Grey Cup odds contender, it's a 7-point underdog with third-string QB Caleb Evans slated to start.

Evans will be under center for the Als with both Davis Alexander and McLeod Bethel-Thompson out, and that can't possibly inspire much confidence. The Former UL Monroe star has been struggling throughout his CFL career while throwing more interceptions (22) than passing touchdowns (17) across 16 starts, which mostly came with the Ottawa Redblacks over two years ago.

Evans' teams are 4-10 during the 14 CFL games when he's logged 20-plus pass attempts. Montreal is going to endure an impossible time digging itself out of a hole against a BC team that's put up 27-plus points in four straight games.

Montreal has been slipping for weeks after starting the season undefeated and going 3-0 against the spread. The Alouettes are just 1-5 ATS since then, which includes losing at home to the Lions as a 2.5-point betting favorite. That was in Week 5, so fast forward to Week 11, and it should be a lot worse for Montreal with Evans at QB, leading rusher Sean Thomas-Erlington out, and star wide receivers Tyson Philpot and Austin Mack also sidelined.

This offense is in shambles while putting up the second-fewest points per game (24.3) and yards per matchup in the CFL (329.3). So while the Lions' defense is a middle-of-the-pack unit, the Als shouldn't stress it too much. And Rourke and Co. have been cruising offensively for the last few weeks, so they shouldn't endure much trouble scoring on a defense that's getting no support from its offense.

The Lions lead the league in yards per game (420.9) and are the only team averaging over 290 passing yards per outing (313.1) and over 100 rushing yards per game (107.8). Rourke is the face of the franchise, but James Butler has been a star while leading the league in rushing (705), and Keon Hatcher, Justin McInnis, Ayden Eberhardt, and Stanley Berryhill are all among the top 20 in receiving yards.

It's not hard to see why the best sports betting apps in Canada are setting Rourke's line so high. The Canadian has thrown for Over 330.5 passing yards in four of five games since returning from injury. He's averaged 346.2 passing yards per contest since coming back.
