These teams both entered the season as Grey Cup odds favorites after accounting for the last two CFL championship titles. However, injuries derailed their seasons, and now they're fighting tooth and nail against each other for a shot to make the playoffs. Sadly for Argos fans, they had another injury hit at the worst time to the most important player in QB Nick Arbuckle.
Toronto will be without last year's Grey Cup MVP against Montreal due to a calf injury. This comes after Arbuckle led the Argos to three straight wins to get them back in the playoff hunt. With Chad Kelly still off the roster, Toronto is starting Jarret Doege. He's thrown just nine passes in the last two seasons. In 2023, he saw extended action in three games with the Edmonton Elks, and the team lost all three games by an average of 10.3 points.
Montreal is also down its starting QB, Davis Alexander, but McLeod Bethel-Thompson is healthy again and coming off his best game of the year. Bethel-Thompson led Montreal to a 48-31 win over the best team in the CFL last week, the Saskatchewan Roughriders. If he can carry the Als to another decisive win, a $10 bet pays a $9.09 profit.

In his second game back from injury, the Canadian exploded for 238 yards and two touchdowns on nine receptions against the best defense in the CFL. So how's the worst defense in the league going to stop him?
Toronto is allowing the most points per game in the CFL (32.1) and has given up a score to Philpot in the last four games he's played against the Argos. If he can make it five straight majors against Toronto, a $10 bet pays an $11 profit.
