Argonauts vs. Tiger-Cats Prediction, Expert Picks & Odds 9-2

In Chad Kelly's second game back from suspension, he'll have a chance to lead the Argonauts to a big win over the lowly Tiger-Cats.

The Toronto Argonauts won on a missed field goal last week, but victory should be much smoother in Week 13 against the Hamilton Tiger-Cats.

In Chad Kelly's second game back from suspension, I'm expecting Toronto to take care of business and give its Grey Cup odds a boost in my Argonauts vs. Tiger-Cats prediction.

The Argonauts are a 4.5-point favorite across our best sportsbooks in Canada for Monday's game from Tim Hortons Field in Hamilton, Ont. at 2:30 p.m. ET (TSN/RDS, CFL+).

Argonauts vs. Tiger-Cats prediction, expert pick

CFL picks confidence based on a 1-to-5-star scale.

Argonauts -4.5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐

It's been a long season in Hamilton. The Tiger-Cats have the worst record in the CFL (2-9) and a historically bad defense.

Former Argos coach Scott Milanovich's return to being a head coach up north has been an ugly one. His Tiger-Cats are allowing the most points per game in the league by a wide margin (32.7) and are somehow just as bad against the run as they are against the pass.

Hamilton's allowing the third-highest QB rating to opponents this season (102.8) and the third-most rushing yards per game (105.5) - along with the second-highest average yards per carry (5.3).

That makes this the perfect bounce-back game for Kelly after he looked rusty in Week 12. Not only is he the reigning CFL Most Outstanding Player, but he's also got a star running back to help him gash Hamilton - Ka'Deem Carey is third in the league in rushing yards (646).

The Tiger-Cats offense just won't be able to keep up, especially with how sporadic Bo Levi Mitchell has been this season. He's already been benched once and leads the league in interceptions (12).

Hamilton's just 3-8 ATS this season, and if it fails to cover once again, a $10 bet on the Argos pays an $8.70 profit.
