He'll take that against Warren, along with the plate discipline that resulted in a 15.4% walk rate last campaign (top 2% of MLB). Devers thrives against heat after slugging .512 against four-seamers in 2025, and that's a pitch Warren throws 41.6% of the time.

Of course, Devers has always been a righty masher too. He put up a .909 OPS against righties last year, compared to .740 when facing a southpaw.

Mahle presents a challenge, but much like the Devers-Warren mismatch, Rice can ambush the starter's four-seamer. It's easily Mahle's most-used pitch, and Rice put up a .653 expected slugging against fastballs last year.
