Best Home Run Predictions: Today's Divisional Series Home Run Picks, Oct. 4
We've got a full day of Divisional Series action, and my best home run predictions today feature one player from every game.
Three of my four home run picks are on teams that received first-round byes, but the centerpiece is New York Yankees slugger Giancarlo Stanton, who has three postseason games under his belt already. He also has solid career numbers against Toronto Blue Jays starter Kevin Gausman.
My MLB picks to go yard are rounded out by Jackson Chourio, Bryce Harper, Jorge Polanco, and if all four homer, a $10 parlay would net over $6,200 in profits.

⚾ Giancarlo Stanton, DH, Yankees (+376) ⭐⭐⭐
New York DH Giancarlo Stanton had the lowest batting average (.091) of any Yankees player who appeared in multiple games of the wild-card series. But he was just feet away from hitting a home run in Thursday’s Game 3 win against the Boston Red Sox, and half of his career hits off Toronto Blue Jays starting pitcher Kevin Gausman have been extra-base hits, with four of the five being home runs.
Stanton has been an all-or-nothing hitter against Gausman in his career, with 12 of his 20 outs coming via strikeout, but also posting a 1.161 OPS in that split.
Current Yankees have done well in the power department against Gausman, as they have combined for a .508 slugging percentage in 255 at-bats against the righty. And of the 67 hits in all that Gausman has allowed to current Bronx Bombers, 32 have been extra-base hits, and 15 have left the yard. Those trends bode well to possibly back multiple Yankees hitters in your home run portfolios. Stanton’s best home run implied odds are 23.81% through FanDuel’s +320 odds. But the best return on a winning $10 wager is through DraftKings’ +376 odds, which would net $37.60 in profits if he homers.
