The Mariners dropped the first two games of the series, but I like the value on Seattle to avoid the sweep as one of the league’s best home teams in 2025.
Seattle has had success against left-handed pitching this season, sitting fourth in MLB in home runs and 12th in OPS against southpaws. That should serve them well against Dodgers starting pitcher Clayton Kershaw.
With the Dodgers set to open up the postseason on Tuesday, it wouldn’t be surprising if manager Dave Roberts gives some key contributors the entire game off, or at least not a full afternoon of work.
Meanwhile, Seattle will be off until next Saturday, so Mariners manager Dan Wilson might look to give his team the entire game to try and stay as sharp as possible before the postseason.
