The Dodgers had only lost three consecutive games twice, but never to the same opponent, before being surprisingly swept at home by the Angels in a series they were outscored by eight runs. But I expect that to bring out the best in the Dodgers this series, which is why I am laying the 1.5 runs with my Dodgers vs. Angels prediction.

Ohtani has already clinched his third consecutive season (and fourth in the last five) with 40-plus home runs, and is the first Dodger with back-to-back such seasons since 2001-02.
