My Blue Jays vs. Dodgers same-game parlay expects more offensive fireworks in World Series Game 3.

With the series tied at 1-1, Tyler Glasnow will start for Los Angeles, which is a -200 favorite at home. Max Scherzer gets the nod for Toronto, becoming the first pitcher in MLB history to pitch for four different teams in the Fall Classic.

First pitch is set for 8 p.m. ET on Monday at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles (FOX).

🚀 Over 7.5 runs (-151) ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The total for Game 3 has climbed to 8.5, which is why I’m comfortable starting this parlay with a play on the alternate line of 7.5. I expect plenty of offense from both teams, particularly the Dodgers’ side against Scherzer (more on that in a minute).

This is the game where bullpens will get involved earlier than in the previous two contests. That’s a boon for both lineups, considering the Blue Jays and Dodgers both ranked below average in bullpen ERA this year.

Ballpark Pal’s model projects this game to go Over, forecasting a 4.95-3.60 victory for Los Angeles. I’d play this Over as a straight wager on the flat eight.

🚀 Max Scherzer Over 2.5 earned runs allowed (+113) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Scherzer surprised everyone with his showing in the ALCS, holding the Seattle Mariners to two runs on three hits across 5 2/3 innings. That performance came after he closed the regular season with four-plus runs allowed in five of his final six starts.

Which version of Scherzer will we see tonight? My guess is that it’s closer to the September form, considering he’s the seventh-oldest pitcher ever to start a World Series game, and the Dodgers’ lineup scored the second-most runs in baseball this year.

If Toronto tries to squeeze some extra outs from Scherzer, I like the chances of Los Angeles tagging him for three runs.

🚀 Freddie Freeman to hit a home run (+350) ⭐⭐⭐

Five different Los Angeles players have hit a home run off Scherzer in their careers. Nobody has more homers than Freddie Freeman, who has launched three in 55 career at-bats against Scherzer.

Last year’s World Series MVP has only one hit through two games of this Fall Classic. He hit a double in Game 2 before eventually coming around to score. I like him to make an impact now that he’s back at home this week.

Ballpark Pal projects 0.25 homers for Freeman, suggesting a fair price of +300. I’ll add his home run odds as the final leg of this juicy +700 parlay.
