Here's a breakdown of my best MLB strikeout prop predictions and expert picks today. Check out the rest of our MLB picks along with our guide on how to bet on MLB.  

Grant Holmes Over 4.5 strikeouts vs. Nationals (+110)

For as good as the Nats are this season, they do have some swing and miss in their lineup, especially Mr. James Wood, who's third in the league in strikeouts. Enter Holmes, who's punched out this lineup at a 27% clip, including CJ Abrams twice in six at-bats. Holmes isn't the biggest strikeout pitcher in baseball (60th percentile in whiff rate), but still has the tools to go over this number - he's done so in two of his last three starts.

JP Sears Over 3.5 strikeouts vs. Giants (-102)

Sears is in the same boat as Holmes - not the biggest strikeout pitcher, but still manages to get the job done in his specific matchup. We're getting a low number here because the Giants refuse to strike out (fourth-best in all of baseball). However, Sears has been one pitcher who has gotten to them, owning a 27% K rate (26% whiff rate) against San Francisco and has combined to strike out Willy Adames and Rafael Devers seven times in 24 at-bats. We just need four - I'll take these odds.
