Brewers vs. Rays Prediction & Picks: Game 3 World Series Odds for Monday, Oct. 26
Last Updated: October 25, 2026 2:19 PM EDT • 3 minute read X Social Google News Link
The Rays are 4-1 at Tropicana Field this postseason and need to conjure up some of that home magic to get back into this series against the Brewers. But my Brewers vs. Rays prediction for Game 3 expects the road underdog to again find another way to win, especially given its distinct advantages in the bullpen.
That should mean ex-Brewer Freddy Peralta is in for a rough outing, while I back an ex-Rays player to go yard with the last of my MLB picks. Opposing Peralta on the mound for Milwaukee is southpaw Robert Gasser. First pitch from Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Fla., is set for 8 p.m. ET (FOX), and the Rays are a -120 betting favorite.
I look to build off of the momentum of five straight best-bet cashes, including Game 2’s plus-money win on Tampa Bay’s first-five-innings moneyline.

Brewers vs. Rays prediction & best bet
Brewers ML (+102)
No disrespect to the Rays who tied the Brewers with an MLB-best 55-26 home record in the regular season. But I cannot pass up Milwaukee at plus-money odds after winning nine of 10 playoff games, with its 9-1 record tying for the best through the first 10 games of a single postseason in MLB history.
Milwaukee is a versatile team that has won in a variety of ways this postseason. It is 5-1 in one-run games (tied for the sixth-best record in a single postseason). It is also the fifth team in MLB playoff history to overcome two four-run deficits, and is one of two teams to win a series opener three times in one postseason while scoring three or fewer runs in each game.
📡 SBR Edge: Going streaking
Milwaukee is the first team since the 2023 Rangers to win seven consecutive games in a single postseason. Meanwhile, Tampa Bay has lost back-to-back playoff games for the first time since the 2023 AL Wild Card Series against Texas.
Best Brewers vs. Rays player prop bet
Freddy Peralta Under 4.5 strikeouts (+113)
This is an outing that carries a lot of emotion for Freddy Peralta, who spent eight seasons with the Brewers and is their all-time leader in K/9 rate (11.2) among qualified pitchers. But I expect Milwaukee to use the same approach it used against Drew Rasmussen that resulted in the Rays ace logging his shortest outing (3.2 IP) since July 9.
The Brewers’ first eight batters took the first pitch against Rasmussen. The patient approach worked, and Rasmussen threw the second-most pitches by a starting pitcher through four innings these playoffs (89).
Peralta has pitched to an MLB-best 1.17 ERA since Aug. 26 (10 games/nine starts). But this is an inflated line since one of his starts this postseason was his longest playoff outing of his career (6 IP), and I don’t expect nearly the same length when facing a pesky Brewers lineup.
Brewers vs. Rays home run prediction
Jake Bauers to hit a home run (+625)
Cooper Pratt and Andrew Vaughn are the only current Brewers who have ever homered off of Freddy Peralta, but I have more confidence in Jake Bauers channeling his NLCS performance and going yard.
Bauers went 4-for-14 in the NLCS with two extra-base hits, six RBI, a .412 on-base percentage and .571 slugging percentage.
His 26 home runs this year are a career-high, and he entered the World Series slashing .269/.441/.423 with a 151 wRC+ in eight 2026 playoff games.
Among those with a minimum of 400 plate appearances this season, Bauers ranked in the top eight in on-base percentage, wRC+, and walk percentage, and the top 25 in chase percentage, hard-hit rate, barrels, and pitches per plate appearance.
