💰 Best NRFI bets today (Thursday, July 30)
Marlins vs. Mets NRFI (-150) - 7:10 p.m. ET
- Eury Perez (3.56 ERA) vs. Nolan McLean (3.32 ERA)
- NRFI records: Marlins (58-51) vs. Mets (55-54)
If Perez has one fan, I am him; if he has no fans, I am dead - or something like that. In this specific matchup, he should have no problem getting us three outs. Facing one of the most anemic offenses in baseball, the righty strikes this lineup out at a 30% clip while limiting them to a .172 xBA and .268 xwOBA, that'll play for us. McLean will get us over the finish line - in 13 at-bats against him, Miami is hitless, giving me all the confidence in the world we'll get the six simple outs we need. I'd price this closer to -185 betting odds, so let's run with this value.
Mariners vs. Dodgers NRFI (-110) - 10:10 p.m. ET
- Bryan Woo (4.37 ERA) vs. Roki Sasaki (4.71 ERA)
- NRFI records: Mariners (54-55) vs. Dodgers (55-53)
It's Woo bump day, and although he's not having the best of seasons, according to his standards, I love him in this spot. Across 26 plate appearances, the Dodgers own just a .222 xBA, which includes limiting Kyle Tucker, Mookie Betts, Freddie Freeman, and Max Muncy to a combined 1-for-12 mark. I'm more worried about Sasaki here. However, in a small sample size, he's dominated the Mariners, registering a 40% whiff rate. Let's sweep the board and play this as one of our best NRFI bets today.

💡 How I'm betting NRFI picks today (July 30)
Follow all of our MLB analysis and expert predictions for baseball season.
A NRFI (No Run First Inning) bet carries high variance, meaning success requires a disciplined, daily dive into the data. Before placing a wager, run through a strict checklist: analyze how the starting pitcher matches up against the top three hitters in the lineup, track underlying metrics like strikeout rates (K%) and expected batting averages (xBA), and review recent team-specific first-inning scoring trends. Because a single mistake or lucky hit can ruin the bet instantly, always use this daily routine to guide your wagers and scale your unit sizing accordingly to protect your bankroll.
