šŸ’° Best NRFI bets today (Friday, July 3)

Orioles vs. Reds NRFI (-110) - 7:10 p.m. ET

  • Trevor Rogers (4.99 ERA) vs. Brady Singer (5.12 ERA)
  • NRFI records: Orioles (45-43) vs. Reds (42-44)

On the outside looking in, this may not be the best NRFI bet on the slate. However, when you dig into the numbers between these two pitchers, things begin to crystallize. Singer is generating whiffs at a near 30% rate against this Orioles lineup over the course of his career, and has limited them to a sub .200 xBA across 29 plate appearances. We'll take that. On the other side, Rogers has just a limited sample size against the Reds, but is still striking them out at a whopping 35% rate. Let's ride this as part of our best NRFI bets today.

Blue Jays vs. Mariners NRFI (-155) - 10:10 p.m. ET

  • Dylan Cease (3.02 ERA) vs. Luis Castillo (4.93 ERA)
  • NRFI records: Blue Jays (40-47) vs. Mariners (41-47)

We've got two contrasting plays today, because everything points toward a NRFI in this pitching matchup. Cal Raleigh, Josh Naylor, and Randy Arozarena all own a .248 xBA against Cease or lower in their career, giving me all the confidence in the world that he'll get us three outs today. Castillo has owned the Jays, too, limiting Vladimir Guerrero Jr. (5-for-25) and Daulton Varsho (1-for-13) among others to a .203 xBA or lower. Let's sweep the board before the weekend.

Follow all of our MLB analysis and expert predictions for baseball season.

A NRFI (No Run First Inning) bet carries high variance, meaning success requires a disciplined, daily dive into the data. Before placing a wager, run through a strict checklist: analyze how the starting pitcher matches up against the top three hitters in the lineup, track underlying metrics like strikeout rates (K%) and expected batting averages (xBA), and review recent team-specific first-inning scoring trends. Because a single mistake or lucky hit can ruin the bet instantly, always use this daily routine to guide your wagers and scale your unit sizing accordingly to protect your bankroll.
