Best Home Run Predictions Today: MLB Odds, Picks & Prop Bets for Tonight Sept. 19
Last Updated: September 19, 2025 1:53 PM EDT • 4 minute read X Social Google News Link
New York Mets right handed slugger Pete Alonso has caught fire, homering in four consecutive games, and I am making his pursuit of a career-best fifth straight game with a home run the centerpiece of my best home run predictions today.
Joining Alonso in my four-pack of home run picks are Trent Grisham, Ian Happ, and a red-hot batter in Taylor Ward playing a series opener at hitter-friendly Coors Field.
A $10 parlay on all four sluggers going yard would pay out over $4,400 in profits if they all hit a four-bagger.

💣 Best home run prediction today: MLB expert picks & prop bets
Here is my favorite MLB home run bet today and analysis of why it leads my MLB home run predictions.
⚾ Pete Alonso (Mets) to hit a home run (+286) ⭐⭐⭐
With Alonso’s first-inning solo home run yesterday, he is three shy of joining Aaron Judge and Shohei Ohtani as the only active players with at least four seasons of 40-plus home runs.
Alonso has now homered in four straight games for the third time in his career (2019, 2023). In the other two instances where he was going for a fifth straight, he went a combined 1-for-7, including an 0-for-3 performance against today’s opponent, the Washington Nationals.
Alonso and Juan Soto are the second teammates in Mets history to each have a season of 35 home runs and 100 RBIs. The “Polar Bear” is also one of only two players with five straight seasons of 20 doubles and 30 home runs (Ohtani).
These are great odds in an eerily similar spot against the Nationals to make history, even if Nationals southpaw Andrew Alvarez has allowed just one home run in 15 2/3 innings to start his MLB career. DraftKings provides the best payout, and a $10 winning wager at its +286 price with 25.91% implied odds would net $28.60 in profits.
