I am back to end the wild-card round on a high note with my best home run predictions today, looking to build on yesterday after hitting Trevor Story at +520 odds to finish with a +2.2-unit day.

Three teams forced deciding Game 3’s when facing elimination yesterday, so my MLB picks focus on at least one slugger from each game, while doubling up on the Padres-Cubs tilt.

Aaron Judge, Jose Ramirez, Fernando Tatis Jr., and Kyle Tucker make up my home run MLB picks today. If all of them homer, the four-leg $10 parlay would net nearly $5,300 in profits.

It may seem blasphemous to back a Padres slugger with my best home run prediction today given that San Diego has scored four runs over its last 42 postseason innings. But Fernando Tatis Jr. is 2-for-6 with a home run in his career off Cubs starter Jameson Taillon, and the righty has been known to serve up his share of long balls.

Taillon has allowed at least 21 home runs in each of the last five seasons, and this year’s 1.7 HR/9 rate was the worst of his career. Taillon also had difficulty keeping the ball on the ground this year, as his 33.8% ground ball rate was his lowest of his nine-year career, and his 32.2% fly ball rate was tied for his highest.

Tatis Jr. ended the regular season with home runs in three of the final four games, and his seven September home runs (tied for his most in any month this season) suggest he is primed to go yard with the team’s season on the line today.

Tatis Jr.’s best home run implied odds are 21.05% through BetMGM’s +375 odds. But the best return on a winning $10 wager is through FanDuel’s +430 odds, which would net $43 in profits if he homers
