Wood has been simply unbelievable in his second year in the majors. He flashed some of his upside in his abbreviated rookie campaign last year, but I think he's surprising even his biggest fans at this point.

The young Nationals outfielder is a legitimate NL MVP candidate thanks to his jaw-dropping power and impressive speed (especially for someone who's 6-foot-7). He's crushed 24 home runs already this season, and that number would be even higher if he sorted out his launch angle.

I've made a lot of money this season by backing Wood, and our best sports betting sites still haven't adjusted properly. To be honest, I'm kind of hoping he has a stinker in the Home Run Derby so he doesn't get any additional attention, because a big performance in Monday's event would likely cause the public to smash his Overs during the second half of the season.
