This season has been historic from a home run perspective, as Philadelphia Phillies slugger Kyle Schwarber’s four-home run day on Thursday marked the first time in MLB history that there were three such games in one season.

While I am not expecting a fourth to happen, I am backing Yankees slugger Cody Bellinger with my best home run predictions today.

The New York Yankees entered Friday’s game against the Chicago White Sox having belted 45 home runs over a 16-game span. And the Bronx Bombers’ 33 home runs in the previous 10 games were tied with three other teams for the most in MLB history over a 10-game span.

Bellinger, my best home run bet today, was a big part of that offensive success. He has belted six home runs and driven in 15 runs in his last 16 games.

He now stands four home runs shy of his third career 30-home run season and first since winning the NL MVP in 2019.
