Nelly Korda is enjoying a dominant 2024 campaign with six victories but we're looking elsewhere with our U.S. Women's Open expert picks with the odds listing Korda as the prohibitive favorite across our best golf betting sites. Lancaster Country Club in Pennsylvania hosts the LPGA's second major of 2024.

Nelly Korda enters the week of the 2024 U.S. Women's Open with six LPGA victories this calendar year, including the Chevron Championship. While the U.S. Women's Open has eluded her to this point of a stellar career, that's not stopping our best sports betting sites from installing Korda as a heavy betting favorite to claim victory at Lancaster Country Club.

Lancaster CC last hosted the U.S. Women's Open in 2015, with In Gee Chun claiming victory at 8-under par. She's a distant long shot by this year's odds, while Allisen Corpuz will try to defend her 2023 U.S. Open title at Pebble Beach Golf Links.

Here are our U.S. Women's Open expert picks based on the best LPGA odds for Lancaster Country Club, and don't miss our Canadian Open expert picks for this week's PGA Tour event.

U.S. Women's Open picks to win

Hannah Green

Green offers the best value on the U.S. Women's Open oddsboard. The 2019 champion of the KPMG Women's PGA Championship claimed her fourth and fifth career LPGA victories already in 2024.

Green has never missed the cut over five career appearances in the U.S. Women's Open, and she's coming off a career-best T-13 result in 2023 at Pebble Beach Golf Links. Ignore her missed cut in the 2024 Chevron Championship, as she won the JM Eagle LA Championship the next week. She's coming off a runner-up finish in the Mizuho Americas Open, when she finished one stroke back of Korda.

The Australian's two victories have put her second to Korda in the Race to CME Globe. She's also second in the Rolex Player of the Year rankings, and second in LPGA scoring average. Green is fourth in greens in regulation while averaging 0.93 strokes gained: approach per round, which are always important statistics amid the difficult U.S. Open conditions.

bet365 offers market-low odds of +2500 for Green to win her second major this week. Be sure to get the +3500 odds from Caesars for an extra $100 in profit on a winning $10 bet.

Maja Stark

LPGA betting, especially during majors, is often a bit of a popularity contest. The sport's most significant events - like the U.S. Women's Open - draw a casual betting audience that aren't following week-to-week. So we regularly see odds suppressed for the largest stars and inflated for all others.

That's exactly what's happening with Stark, who's coming off a runner-up showing in the 2024 Chevron Championship and is less than a year removed from a career-best T-9 finish in the 2024 U.S. Open. The 24-year-old Swedish star has logged just one LPGA victory (in 2022), but she's a six-time winner on the European ladies' circuit.

Stark is a couple of weeks removed from a dreadful missed cut in the Cognizant Founders Cup. That poor showing was on the heels of back-to-back runner-up placings, and she's also registered a T-3 in the Ford Championship on her resume in 2024.

Short-game play has been the source of Stark's struggle in 2024, but she's strong off the tee and from tee to green.

U.S. Women's Open picks: Top finishes

Brooke Henderson to finish top 5

Henderson, a two-time major winner, hasn't won on the LPGA since the January 2023 Tournament of Champions. That was a four-stroke victory over Stark and Charley Hull, and it came six months after her Evian Championship win over Sophia Schubert.

Henderson is 11th in the 2024 Rolex rankings following a T-56 in the Mizuho Americas Open. However, she previously tied for third in the Chevron Championship. She's notched two other top-3 finishes in 2024 and a pair of T-9 showings.

The top Canadian in the U.S. Women's Open field is seventh on the LPGA in strokes gained: total per round, with her 1.17 SG: tee-to-green being the best aspect of her well-rounded game.

Henderson is one of the few members in the 2024 field to compete in the 2015 U.S. Women's Open at Lancaster CC, when she finished T-5. She's recorded just one top-10 finish in this major since, but her +600 odds present value with a winning $10 bet returning a profit of $60.

Nelly Korda U.S. Women's Open odds

What a year it's been for Korda. And it's only May.

Korda is running away with the Race to the CME Globe and the Rolex rankings. Our best sports betting apps are giving her odds of +350 to win a third career major, and her second of 2024.

The 25-year-old's six victories this calendar year bring her to 14 career LPGA titles. Korda tied an LPGA record - one that Nancy Lopez and Annika Sorenstam share - with five straight victories, culminating with the Chevron Championship. She then won the Mizuho Americas Open just three events later.

That success has come after a blood clot requiring surgery in 2022 derailed most of Korda's last two golf seasons. She's returned to No. 1 in the world, and Korda is the obvious choice as the consensus betting favorite by the U.S. Women's Open odds.

While Korda leads the LPGA in nearly all key stats - including her 69.258 scoring average - she's never won this event. In fact, her best finish in the U.S. Women's Open was a T-8 at Pine Needles Lodge and Golf Club in 2022 before her blood clot issue. She missed the cut in this event each of the two years prior, and Korda tied for 64th in 2023.

Just two of her 14 career wins are majors, making those relative struggles in the most significant events cause for concern at such low odds. A winning $10 bet at the +350 odds from bet365 would return a profit of just $35 with a victory, at an implied win probability of 22.22%.

I'd pass for now, until another sportsbook offers odds of +400 or better in this 156-woman field.

How to bet on golf

When it comes to golf betting, it's essential to understand the various types of wagers available and how to assess player performance effectively. Begin by acquainting yourself with the common bet types, such as outright winners, each-way bets (which encompass both a win and a top finish), head-to-head matchups, and proposition bets tailored to specific tournament events, like hole-in-one occurrences or player performances on designated holes.

Once you've determined your preferred bet types, conduct thorough research on players, course conditions, recent form, and other pertinent factors that could influence outcomes. Delve into player statistics, recent tournament performances, course history, and any injuries or changes in form that may impact a player's chances of success. Armed with this information, you can make well-informed betting decisions and increase your likelihood of success in the realm of golf betting.
