⛳ Puerto Rico Open Odds & Favorites 2026: Rasmus Hojgaard Tops Alternate Field
Last Updated: March 2, 2026 11:51 AM EST • 4 minute read X Social Google News Link
There is a 120-man field at Grand Reserve Golf Club this week, with Rasmus Hojgaard (+1125) and Rasmus Neergaard-Petersen (+1650) the betting favorites by the Puerto Rico Open odds. Davis Thompson, Christiaan Bezuidenhout, Seamus Power, and Haotong Li round out the top of the oddsboard for this alternate event that's running opposite the Arnold Palmer Invitational.
Karl Vilips won this event in Rio Grande last year.
We're looking at the odds, betting history of the Puerto Rico Open, and how I'm betting this week's alternate event, along with a full course breakdown and key stats.

Blades Brown (+10000 via BetRivers)
I immediately scrolled well down the oddsboard for my first outright bet this week for the Puerto Rico Open. Blades Brown, a former top amateur who went straight from high school to pro golf last year, is my best bet to go from a win in Puerto Rico to PGA stardom.
Though Brown missed the cut in last week's Cognizant Classic, he finished T-18 in The American Express earlier this year. This is a glorified Korn Ferry Tour event, where Brown had runner-up and T-7 finishes last season.
Brown is above average in both driving distance and accuracy, and he's an excellent putter (0.51 strokes gained: putting). A winning $10 bet will return a profit of $1,000 if Brown claims his first professional victory.
💡 How I'm betting the Puerto Rico Open
It's important to note that this is an alternate-field event, running opposite the Arnold Palmer Invitational. It's a smaller 120-man and watered-down field. I'm only interested in betting long shots and obvious values in the outright market this week.
Three of the past seven tournament winners in Puerto Rico had pre-tournament outright odds of 100/1 or longer. I come to this event page at our best golf betting sites with reduced wagers, looking to sprinkle on two or three long shots.
While we've seen past winners like Tony Finau, Viktor Hovland, and Nico Echavarria go on to bigger and better things on the PGA Tour, they weren't nearly as recognizable at the time of their victory at Grand Reserve Golf Club.
Course info
While Grand Reserve Golf Club is long at 7,506 yards, it poses little challenge to low scores. The greens are large and generous. The fairways are wide and navigable.
Four of the past seven 72-hole winning scores were -20 or better.
