The Cougars and Aggies get the college football viewing audience all to themselves on Monday as I make my Washington State vs. Utah State player props for the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl. Kickoff is set for 2 p.m. ET from Albertsons Stadium in Boise, Idaho (ESPN).

Utah State is a 1.5-point betting favorite in a game with an O/U of 49.5 points, as Washington State gets set to play its first game without head coach Jimmy Rogers. My college football predictions this week take advantage of opt-outs and transfers on both sides to find value with two player props, including my anytime touchdown scorer wager.

Stay ahead this bowl season with our updated college football bowl game odds and schedule.

Bryson Barnes longest rush Over 19.5 yards (-115) ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

My most confident five-star Washington State vs. Utah State best bet is for Aggies quarterback Bryson Barnes to hit on at least one explosive run.

Utah State ended the regular season ranked in the top 10 in EPA because of 20 explosive runs between Barnes and running back Miles Davis. Barnes should attack a Cougars defense that's stout against the pass but ranks among the worst D-I teams in run defense and tackling.

If Barnes breaks off at least one 20-yard run for the third time in four games, my $10 winning wager through bet365’s -115 odds (53.49% implied probability) would net $8.70 in profits.

Kahanu Davis Under 2.5 receptions (-125) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Kahanu Davis had just six catches for 160 yards on the season. His O/U has spiked to 2.5 for this game, as the Aggies’ most explosive wide receiver, Braden Pegan, has opted out of the game.

While Pegan’s loss creates a void after totaling 926 receiving yards and averaging 15.4 yards per catch, it is difficult to expect Davis to be counted on for much more production in this bowl game.

If Davis fails to record three catches, my $10 winning wager through bet365’s -125 price at 55.56% implied odds would return $8 in profit.

Maxwell Woods anytime touchdown scorer (+100) ⭐⭐⭐

Cougars starting running back Kirby Vorhees won't play in this game after entering the transfer portal, leaving the lead backfield duties to Maxwell Woods.

While Woods didn't score a touchdown this year in a backup role, he proved to be the team’s best pass-catcher out of the backfield. He totaled 15 receptions to Vorhees’ 19 despite seeing significantly fewer snaps.

I am backing a Cougars player with my anytime touchdown wager over an Aggies player, as Washington State’s defense ranked in the top 25 in Quality Drives allowed and Finishing Drives allowed. If Woods scores his first touchdown, bettors would return the same amount as their initial wager in profits.

Our Rob Paul is targeting Utah State running back Miles Davis to find the end zone twice as part of his Washington State vs. Utah State predictions.
