Tulane vs. UTSA Player Prop Bets Tonight: Best Player Props & TD Picks for Week 10

This American Conference tilt is one of two games among the Thursday night college football doubleheader, and I am excited to dive into my best Tulane vs. UTSA player prop bets. The Green Wave are the 3.5-point road betting favorite as they look to remain unbeaten in league play in this nationally televised game from the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas, at 7:30 p.m. ET (ESPN).

UTSA’s Robert Henry ranks third among all FBS running backs with 868 rushing yards. He is also the only FBS player with more than 75 rushing attempts to average at least 7.5 yards per carry, and his 8.3 yards per carry average is nearly a full yard more than any other player who has run for at least 700 yards this year. 

Henry averaged 11.5 yards per carry on 12 attempts in a 38-point loss to North Texas in his last game. He could have run for much more than the 138 yards had game script not forced a more pass-heavy attack.

This is one of the most important matchups of the game, which I break down in my Tulane vs. UTSA prediction.

Henry’s O/U for rushing yards at FanDuel is 111.5, juiced to -114 at 53.27% implied odds to the Over. That makes the plus-money price and 50% implied odds for Henry to rush for 110 yards at bet365 a steal. Tulane quarterback Jake Retzlaff is tied for 112th among all FBS quarterbacks with six passing touchdowns on the season. But after starting the season with five consecutive games with one or fewer touchdown throws, he has multiple touchdown passes in back-to-back games. That's where my college football Week 10 predictions come in.

Retzlaff’s arm has accounted for four of Tulane’s five touchdowns over the last two games, two of which have come in the red zone. I expect the Green Wave will continue to keep the ball in their dual-threat quarterback’s hands against a UTSA defense that allowed five passing scores last week.

Robert Henry has accounted for nine of UTSA’s 13 rushing touchdowns, while seven different Roadrunners have added to their 14 receiving scores. That has me doubling down on my Retzlaff passing touchdowns prop and finding more value in a Green Wave player to score a touchdown, since none have more than one touchdown grab this season.

Bohanon’s receptions and yardage totals have increased in three consecutive games. He also has at least one explosive play in three straight weeks, and his team-leading 23 receptions should also lead to positive regression from a touchdown-scoring standpoint.

The value is certainly there with these +255 odds at DraftKings that would net $25.50 in profits on a $10 wager. Bohanon’s anytime touchdown odds are as short as +135, carrying a 42.55% implied probability, at the low end of the market.
